New Glarus upcoming beers and other info

This will be my first event/release. Are bottles shares allowed in their parking lot? Frowned upon?

 

For anyone interested I'll be up there around 8-8:30 Saturday with bottles to share, feel free to flag me down for a pour of whatever. I'll be wearing a hopslam t-shirt....hopefully I won't be parked way down the driveway by that time....

 

Have fun guys- I've got a couple bottles locked in fortunately, but i would still rather be there!

New Glarus is a great brewery and a cool little town. Eat at Sugar River Pizza or Glarner Stube. Good stuff.

 

La Fortuna Pizza Co will be at the Hilltop Brewery on Friday and Saturday. Their pizza is fantastic.

I'll be there with... Well, Anyone want any Short's brews to sample? I've got nothing on hand besides a Deschutes '14 Mirror, Mirror. But, i can bring some Mi available stuff. If you'll be there and are looking for a specific, lemme know.

 

Is there a walking trail down the hill into town or just the road?

La Fortuna will be there in the morning? That'd be awesome.

 

I know a tiny bit bottlesharing was going down last year in the parking lot, does that give us carte blanche to bring a bottle or two and pop it for the folks in line with us?

 

Yeah, if a bottle share isn't frowned upon come say hi to my buddy and I on Friday. We will have growlers of Abner, Julius plus RareR, BA Muy Bonita, BB Flanders, Arthur and some other goodies. See you all there!

I hope we can do a share! I'll have a De Garde and BA Drago with some other stuff my buddy and I come up with.

 

Poor planning on New Glarus' part... Don't they know all 1500 bottles will be sold out by then? Plus, where are us FIBs supposed to eat from 3-11?

 

You think 2 registers will go through 750 people in under an hour, with the insanely courteous wisconsin staff? also, about half stick around, walk the amazing grounds and brewery, and drink 2 dollar pints of dancing man.

 

I highly doubt they will have all sales completely wrapped up within 1 hour.

I was (un)clearly joking, based on the ridiculous claims that have been made in the half dozen NG threads thus far. But the fact that it wasn't obvious is nerve-wracking, because that means people are questioning whether or not that's actually a possibility...

 

I think my fellow FIB @BunnyLuvr3477 posted that in jest....because we're really gonna show up at 1 a.m.

Anyone know where one might be able to pick up an extra shirt and ball cap around NG? Just thinking after going through the line just might need to change because it, er, might rain.
