Members paid either $75 or $80 last year

Members paid $80 (plus fees) for WTF!? 2013.

This was true for WTF!? #2 earlier this year, and I hope it will be true for WTF?! #3: "For the next year, our goal is to host at least two events that parallel WhatTheFunk!? in 2014, with tickets being made available to Cellar Reserve members first." Taken from the "Details About The 2014 Cellar Reserve" email sent to members on 12/31/13.

They can have access to my debit card and pin number for 24 hours as long as they let me in the building.

The spring WtF!? festival I don't even think sold out, if it did, it was a day or two beforehand.

Crooked Stave helped organized the first one, but I think since it's only been a sponsor. Others have organized it.

Yea, I think I heard the rumor that it sold out about a week prior.

I would think they organized the 2nd one also since they were the ones manning the door and staffing people. Also it looked like they had all the left over kegs stacked in the old warehouse

Yea, so maybe this 3rd one will be changing hands, I don't know for sure.

Yep. Saw some of the bartenders who work at their taproom working at the CBC WTF. Really looking forward to this one, and really glad they changed the venue after the first one. It was a cool building but terrible for an event like WTF.

There was an email sent to Cellar Reserve Members a bit ago containing this seemingly unfortunate piece of news. I've reached out to both the Cellar Reserve coordinator and the event organizer.

"Secondly, the third installment of What the Funk?! has been announced for Thursday, October 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Exdo Events Center. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, August 20 at 6:00 a.m. MST. As a huge supporter of this event, we would love to see as many Crooked Stave supporters and barrel-aged, sour, funky fans as possible at the event." Emphasis mine.

So much for advance tickets as was mentioned in our cellar reserve email

That pretty much sucks, fairly clear with the reserve email. In addition we're supposed to get on board with the idea of a $850/person weekend in Aspen???

Yeah, this What the Funk!? ordeal seems like another let down and over-promise

Technically they gave us advance purchase on WTF #2 which was this year so they did fulfill that promise

Stuff like this solidifies my commitment to never pay for a membership to buy beer, even if it means I miss out on ever trying those beers.
