That's OK -- I've never made a trade, so am anxious to do my first, and you guys are prompting me to consider my options.

Yeah, trading is addictive. How else to try (besides BIFs) great beers like Psuedo Sue.

I hear Sip of Sunshine is also tasting great.

If I recall prior discussions, you weigh about twice as much as me, so I appreciate the gentleness.

I sent _RL_ a long babbling note (yeah I know, you're all shocked), but need to peruse everyones wants, likes, etc and then may throw out some feelers, if not offers.

    What Gose Around Comes Around
I was lucky enough to win the late night BIF the other day and got to compare Westbrook Gose and Anderson Valley Gose thanks to the summer 6er.
Just like this post and you are entered for a Growler of Rapp Gose bottled yesterday. I will randomly pick a name in the morning and send out the next day

It truly was my honor. I will pay you back for that bag of New England goodies.

@mklisz is a great guy. Super generous, and a genuine pleasure to sit and have a beer and conversation with.

Porch decimation doesn't seem too Christian-y (see what I did there?)

Thanks guys -- I'm gonna be out of town for about a week but will see if I have any ideas. I'm a little hesitant at the moment to trade for anything that requires me to pick up something new -- that would increase my inventory without decreasing what I've already got, and I think I am full cellar capacity now. But I will definitely look at possibilities!

Mike, do you keep an inventoried list of the beer you have in your cellar? When I started hoarding bottles, I found this was the best way to keep myself organized and to remember what I actually have. It really helps with trading to and makes it easier for people to see what I've got. Only problem is they always ask about the beers I don't want to trade lol. I should mark those differently I suppose.

I haven't gotten hard into trading myself. Have a few trading buddies from outside of BA. But the whole whalez thing confounds me and I really have little interest in it and the ridiculous culture surrounding the chase. Other than Darkness (readily available in the fall) and a few of the other Surly and local limited release seasonals that are starting to get more widely known, we don't get enough quantity of whalez here to bother chasing. I was able to get a single bottle of black note and 2 KBSs this year. Nobody around here sold them in 4 packs and the limit was generally 1 per customer. at that rate, it's not even worth trying to find enough to trade. True for many other out of market rares. I frequent enough different stores that I'm not a regular at any of them and regulars seem to get preference these days. It's just not worth the effort to me.

That said, I'm always up for trading locals for locals of more readily available stuff, and it seems like a lot of that happens on the side of BIFs. (which in and of themselves are a great way to try different locals).
