El Catador V2, Bottle Release #1

300 Amplitude bottles. I wish I had 1 more. It was my favorite of all the first round available bottles.

 

I still have one. I'd be willing to trade it.

If Amplitude was dipped in wax and was a stout instead of a doppelbock, it would be a whale. Fantastic beer but unfamiliar style.

 

Amplitude was the lighter bodied brother of Nooner B4....both excellent beers

 

And, also, not infected. Bottles are not drinking well right now.

 

Opened mine about a month ago and it was...not pleasant. But its my fault for waiting so long, given its history. Should have opened it immediately

 

Wow bummer, I had not heard that. Mine was great in March.

 

I drank mine last month and it was phenomenal.

 

Drank one within the last two weeks and it tasted great. No signs of a steep falloff or infection compared to my memory of a bottle I got to try close to when it was released

 

opened cali brandy about 3 weeks ago and it was superb. but I never had it fresh, so I don't know what to compare it to.

Amplitude on tap was frickin' phenomenal. It was my favorite beer of el cat round 1. DB Huna a very close 2nd (never had db huna on tap though, so?)

 

My laptop's clock was one minute off and I didn't realize it. I tried exactly one minute late and all of the bottles were gone. That is damn fast. I actually hope they brew amplitude again. Aside from DB Hunah, it sounded the simply phenomenal.

 

I used my freakin iphone, on wifi b/c i was giving my kids a bath at the time. I hit go at exactly 6:00:00, but the delay in connection made it process at 6:00:08. Too Late. LOL.

I peel all my labels and make collages. CCB labels peel off without any tricks. As mentioned they are the plastic type not paper. I just go slow and take my time.

 

To remove any label easily just soak a bottle in warm water and a little oxiclean.

Funny because I have always used this chemical to clean my brew stuff and soak bottles in to remove the label (forget the name), and CCB bottles were the one kind that would NEVER come off no matter how long they soaked. I can't believe so many people have been able to peep them right off with no issues.
