Was speaking with a craft beer bar owner with a liquor license tonight, he says PA law allows you to give away up to 12 oz. of beer. Who knows. Curious to see what Joe has to say.

Thatbsounds like the growler pricing. I brought 32-ozers when I came by last weekend (easier to fit in the hotel fridge when I got to my destination). But it turned out at full fills were usually just a dollar more. I'll be bringing full growlers next week when I swing by again.

Note: I'm not saying the 32 oz prices were outrageous. They seemed right in. Instead, those 64 oz prices are more than reasonable.

For their own stuff a lot of the times you're right. I got a 2L of their Midnight Delight (I think) for $10 and their 1L was $9. Good incentive to get the big one.

Pretty sure some of the guest taps are more appropriately priced at near 2x the cost of a 1L fill.

Guess I could say I was too, but, as my daughter would say, whatever. Cheers!

West Shore IPA for $10 is a great deal as well.

Because there is so much animosity towards Pizza Boy for some reasons (explained and unexplained) I thought I would share this story from today. A couple from New Hampshire were coming through town and I met up with them for lunch and a couple beers. One of them had Permasmile on their wants list so I went to order it. I was told they were out of bottles and I ordered an Afternoon Delight (not a bad beer to 'settle' with) instead. Al himself brought the glasses to the table. I explained that they were out of Permasmile so I got Afternoon Delight instead. Al comes back to the table and opens one of the last bottles of Permasmile, for free, for the table.

Regardless of your thoughts on his business and how he runs it, Al is an incredibly generous person that has done, and is doing, more for the beer scene in central PA than anyone else and it isn't even a close 2nd. I will continue to visit Pizza Boy often and recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Great story is 110% accurate of the type of person Al is. Will have to meet up with you sometime PA-Michigander. Also looking forward to seeing the haters' reactions to the 2 bottles that will be available in 3-4 weeks. Abascio-Cell and Bleurbonberry will be labeled and on sale soon.

It is very good, a nice acidic sour with some tartness and a bourbon and vanilla finish.

Not to cast any doubt on your story, this is a serious question. The Al's of Hampden website says that Intangible and Permasmile are back in stock for in-house, i.e. they are no longer listed as kicked. Was it possible the person at the register just didn't know? Or, is it just an error on the website? My girlfriend loves Permasmile, and wanted to go try Intangible tomorrow if it's available.

It is also still listed on their TV screens/menus but I didn't see any in the mini-fridge/cooler. Al personally said it was one of the last two, I believe, in the store so I tend to believe him. Didn't ask/inquire about Intangible.

I had my family in tow. Even without a beer bro meetup, my wife was shaking her head at my antics: returning to the bar for yet another growler fill in between bites of pizza. I'll le you know Ned time for sure.

    Edit: let you KNOW

I was told they had a couple bottles of each left. That was around 12:00 yesterday.
