I offered an opinion on a beer I had, which I have stated previously was older and since I don't know the manner in which it was stored, a lot of factors could have played into it.

Where have I ever said "Czar Jack is a bad beer?" Are you actively trying to trade one right now or something?

I've actively sought out bottles of it, and would still like one, so I don't understand why you're so defensive about me saying a growler of this that was shared with about 8 people (who all agreed) had a 'soy' flavor to it.

Replace beer sips with BCAA sips and we're in the same area.

Y'all are just reminding me that I moved gym membership budget to beer budget - been gaining weight like crazy. Let's call it a bulking cycle and pretend I will switch the budget back later for a cutting phase...

Not a rat exactly (I'm old and pretty weak), but three times a week means I worry less about if an extra bottle or a higher ABV is gonna kill me caloriewise. After losing some extra flab my weight's been dead steady for a couple of years now and I'm sure I've upped my beer (and good food/protein) consumption considerably in that period.

Same here...well I try to limit my drinking to weekends, but knowing you busted ass all week and can open up as many BA brews as you want feels good!

Like I said before, the growler I had was oxidized, NOT infected. With that said, the last two people to check it in on Untappd both stated "Infected" and they were this year's bottles, so take that for what you will.

    Bench it forward?

Or we post youtube videos of our bench and the winner gets a whale from everyone entering?

I opened a Czar Jack bottle last night and it was fantastic! Much better than a year old growler of Czar Jack I had a few months prior. I thought the growler had cola like similarities to it. I would prefer the body to be a bit creamier, oh well. One of my favorite BA stouts. This is the first of the Cellar Series I have opened since the release. I think I will let Barrel Monkey evolve into something wonderful, hopefully.

All this infection talk got me thinking about my Three Hour Tour growler fiasco. 4 of the 6 growlers of Three Hour Tour we purchased last fall were heavily infected. Shucks. One BA had the lab at the brewery where he opened the growler to share, diagnose major lactobacillus infection(I think this is it?). He said it was like drinking death mixed with metal and blood. WTF? I talked with the TH mgr. (Matt, I think? IMO, a real no-it-all ass hole with 0 care for customer service.) at Town Hall and he said it was not an infection, rather the coconut oils separating in the beer. I think his coconut oils were separating. I presume a lazy worker did not wash the growlers before filling. What do I know, I am just the consumer. He gave a a $3 credit for my growler return for the infected beer. Sweet brah. I will be drinking most of my TH beer on draft to avoid this in the future.
