Yep, love King Don's too. They're canning it this year.

Put me down for another vote for Elysian Night Owl. And at half the price of Pumking without the "Black Friday" hysteria I think that makes it taste even better!

I frequent StL. I think Schlafly makes the best pumpkin. The crown valley, IMO, was horrid. I may have gotten a bad batch, but I drain poured it. Maybe I'll have to revisit it this year.

In no particular order, but I get these every year...

Pumking's the one I got into first...
But Smashed Pumpkin proved every bits its equal...
Punkin is the most rustic of my regular lot, also the lowest in abv...

Greater Pumpkin has seen a couple of spelling changes, and 2013's release was absolutely my favorite pumpkin beer of all time.

CCB Good Gourd is pretty great if you get the opportunity to try

I will advise against cinnamon and sugar rimmed glasses as the season approaches as this just makes a sticky mess.

    Love me some Fat Jack.

Punkin Ale is also a solid choice.

I haven't actually tasted that many pumpkin beers so my exposure is a bit limited. Pumpking is also okay, it depends if you're in the mood for beer that tastes like candy.

Jolly Pumpkin La Parcela. I love what the sourness brings to the pumpkin essence.

Yeah I get that. I liked Warlock because it was different. Good Gourd was just flat out amazing though.

If I find any Elysian Night Owl I'm getting a case of it. That is my #1 pick.

Elysian's Great Pumpkin is also awesome.

Lastly I'll be on the lookout for Upslope Pumpkin.

I've tried a fair number, and DFH's Punkin is still my favorite.

Actually, I lied. Spring House's Braaaiins! is probably my favorite. That or their pumpkin stout. DFH's Punkin is my favorite that's more widely available.

Love Pumpkin ales. Don't love the timing; seems to creep earlier every year. I really do think of pumpkin ales as fall beer. Perhaps Thanksgiving (end of November) is late. And maybe Halloween (end of October) is late. But those are more than three and two full months from now, respectively. Early August seems early. Just sayin'.

Interesting - I just passed on Smashed for the very reason you stated. I guess you are telling me that was a mistake?
