    "Craft Beer" got me to "cellar" my first beer today. Founder's Curmudgeon showed up on my shelves one last time, my LBS' distributor found one last case and I grabbed a four-pack. I will drink one tonight, and maybe bury the others under my house for a year or so. Maybe a year for each one. Hmm...

    Sitting around in the evening over the past 2 years sipping some sort of craft brew while listening to Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails and Tool helped me overcome a major hurdle in my life. With the "help" of good music and good beer, I made a decision to separate from the Air Force and find a good civilian job. It was a tough decision, and it took some time, but I'm happy now, and that is all that matters. I waited years for this. Cheers! :slight_smile:

    Well first off the weight gain!
    Second, taken up all my excess $$
    3rd...did I mention weight gain
    4th made me actually create an account on BA and communicate with the outside world
    5th...shown everyone on the internet that I'm a grown ass man that has a stuffed owl!
    6th...keep me from bringing said stuffed owl to work and introducing him as my new best friend...

    Oddly enough, craft beer has made my drinking habits healthier, according to the US Department of Health and Human Services. I used to drink many crappy beers at a time with the sole purpose of getting drunk at parties. Now I drink slow and appreciate a beer for what it is.

    I've made new friends and traveled to new places because of my interest in craft beer. It also lets me relax after a tough day. Lots of evenings I will come home and sit in the shop door with a good beer, visit with my wife and watch the younger neighbors walk the neighborhood! This probably does not sound like much to some of you, but I've spent most of my life working long hours. Cheers!

    One day, craft beer changed my tire on the side of the highway. I thought it was Tony Romo, but it was actually a can of Founders All Day. Craft beer has also written papers for me, and is the real father of my children. I shave in the morning with craft beer (Ten-FIDY, of course; 60 minute does a terrible job on the neck). Craft beer runs 5ks for me, and then donates to cancer.

    I guess craft beer has just done a lot for me. Thanks, craft beer!
