Anybody Heading to Alpine for Bad Boy ?

Heading over after work later today. New Millennium is very good. Had it on tap the other night.

 

Probably DTJB and obriens.

Also heard bad boy is done at brewery.

 

I did the same thing, minus the OR bottles as I'm taking a break from gambling. New Millennium wasn't as good as I remembered it, but not bad. Will get to the BB later this week.

 

I heard someone say that Alpine is out of bad boy at the brewery is this true i guess we wont find out until next week since brewery is closed today

Wow really? I got 3 more around 2:30 yesterday ( Saturday the 2nd ). Glad I went earlier in the day.

Bad Boy it seems has crossed into that zone where it's gonna be an Expo like release. Pimped too much so everyone wants it. ( guilty )

 

Nah, I got your post. Was saying I was curious if this new batch will turn out the same way.

The one problem I taste with this new batch of bottles is a slight off tasting finish when colder - buttery. It goes away when the beer warms up past 55 or so - which is where I drink stouts anyway. So - something still may be amiss.

 

I had my mom pick up some bottles of BA Odin's Raven for me because I'm out of town and they told her that the bottles need to be kept cold because it's unpasteurized and some of the ingredients would turn bad. Think there's any truth to that? Given how some of their other BA releases have not aged too well, I'm willing to give it credence.

 

Was down for the 2 hour drive south to ABC Friday at noon. Filled 3 growlers of BB & got 4 bombers each of duet, nelson & pure hoppiness. 1 bottle of OR. A quick drink of bad boy and golden valley in the pub. Didn't think it was going to be released that Friday. Email came through around 10am. So no line when we got there at 1220. Nothing like Feb expo hop release. BB sold out over the weekend? I would be surprised. Never had OR. Will open soon.

 

Had a growler filled last Thursday and it was absolutely delicious. Probably the best double/imperial I've ever had. I REALLY hope the brewery isn't dusted...

i'd hate to go in to Alpine if Steve was dusted on PCP... he doesn't look to happy.

Sounds like they know they infect everything they touch. When I bought BA Token, the bottles never warmed up. Straight from the brewery to a cooler to my fridge. Infection was present within a month.

 

Any confirmation it's gone?

 

I just called the brewery and they said they still have bottles of BA OR and Bad Bizzle available for growler fizzles.

 

Ya bad boy is NOT out. Should be around until this weekend though it is going fast if you want some I'd say get it sooner rather than later. One of the best batches of bad boy ive had!
