Here's another from the Straub Sunshine Sampler-

Pretty nice. The aroma is actually fantastic, but the palate is really muted somehow. Good effort, I suppose, but it is definitely the weakest in the pack. (Overall, though, the Pilsner absolutely kills, and the 1872 Lager is uniquely delicious, so it's all worthwhile).

LAGUNITAS - Night Time. Tastes like sage with a hint of onion. Just as horrible as ALESMITH IPA. Good god.

Stone Quadro Triticale. Not bad, but different than any of the few other quads I've tried. Also, I guess I need to invest in a camera. I'm lovin all of these pics!

My go-to Kolsch. This beer is always delicious and fresh

Fresh Citra. Outstanding and juicy hops.

Got a few left from my last family visit, still awesome. More coming when I visit on Labor day weekend.

Dont really care about seasonal shift. Best American brewed O-fest ever.

Fresh Lagunitas IPA. Simply awesome for availability and freshness now that Chicago exists. Just over 2 weeks old here. I love Lagunitas across the board.

I have to agree, I like my coffee stouts with a little more heft, but this is a great session stout. It is a well made beer.

I got out my real camera (an old Kodak Z712IS, a battery hog but I love it) and took a few shots of the DT - liked this one a lot:

Drinking this mean guy as well. Giving it a 4.25. To me it's like a little brother to Ballast Point Victory at Sea. Very good and big on the vanilla notes which I love! Not quite the level of Victory at Sea, but very close!
    Cheers ya'lls!

I agree for what it is, it is very well made. My main criticism is what it is. Certainly glad I had a chance to try it. Good to hear from a fellow coffee stout lover

OK, so not actually drinking right now, but I just finished these two fine pils within the last half hour. A head-to-head.
The Crisp had a best by date of May 8 2015, the SN Summerfest a bottled date of May 15 2014. Really enjoyed them both. Thought the SN was truer to style though, thought the Crisp was a borderline IPL. Did Sixpoint use any noble hops in this one? Not quite a Mass Rising, but veering down that road.

I just gave it a 4.25 too. Crazy. They make some of the best beer I have ever had.

I managed to put down 3 of those GD Hercules snifters in about an hour and a half. And I made friends with this whole wedding party, there was a rehearsal dinner ending as I got there---it was great, they were so awesome, and maybe it's the 10% talking but......between that and everything we've gone through lately, all I could think about was this....
