Heading to Edmonton tomorrow for one night, will probably only have time to visit one of these bars so looking to get some opinions!

Three Boars and or Accent Lounge are two of my faves in Edmonton. Three Boars gets busy and is small. Accent Lounge is chill and they are the only location in Edmonton to get Dieu du Ciel's Solstice d'Ete kegs if you enjoy sours.

Mike's suggestions are good, but 3 Boars is tiny, and if it's busy, well you may have to wait.

Accent is nice, small beer selection & good food. Beer selection isn't always terribly exciting, though. And if it's hot outside, it's 10+ degrees warmer inside, even with the patio doors open!

Sugarbowl can get busy, but with the students being outta town, space won't be a premium. Haven't been there for a while, but the beer & food is always good; nice patio too if the weather is nice.

CRAFT in downtown is big and corporate; lots of selection though.

Underground has good taps, but it's pricey and the service absolutely sucks; don't go there thirsty or hungry!

For one night, you may as well head to Beer Revolution, a little less corporate than CRAFT, but the same kinda concept. It's out of the way, but worth a ca ride.

But, if you stay on the southside, you could always do 3 Boars, Sugarbowl & Accent, or even The Next Act, as an alternative. Walking from Sugarbowl to Accent is maybe a 20 minute walk.

Stay on the Southside then. Taxi's are stupidly expensive here, if you don't wanna drive anywhere. I'd do the 3 mentioned on the Southside, and either walk through the neighbourhood to get to Accent, Next Act, or have a fun walk down Whyte and see the freaks on a Saturday night.

There's also a really good BBQ place next door to Next Act, called MEAT. Damn good BBQ, good bourbon selection, and a decent tap selection. Worth a visit.

    Have fun

MEAT looks good food-wise. This is the tap list posted on their website:
Alley Kat Full Moon Pale Ale $6
Alley Kat Main Squeeze Grapefruit Ale $6
    Yellowhead Lager $6
Ribstone Creek Lone Bison IPA $6.50
Wildrose Velvet Fog Wheat Ale $6.50
    Wildrose Brown Ale $6.50

Nothing too mind blowing there but decent enough I guess.

That's not as good as it's been, they had a couple of Deschutes on for a while. Aah, just hit the bourbon's instead!

I've only been to Beer Revolution. Tap selection was ho hum when considering the bottle selection available in the city.

Beer Rev is so hit and miss, and more times than not, it's a miss. It's disappointing to see the likes of Peroni, Magners. Stanley Park, Granville Island, Big Surf etc on tap. There is no one killer, must go to bar in Edmonton, which is sad when you see what beers are brought into the Province!!!

At least they seem to update their beer board online pretty regularly, so at least I can see if it's worth heading down or not.

That's a good feature, but it's also what makes the beer list so hit & miss. Tonight's looks OK, so a lot should still be available tomorrow.

Are you certain the ddc beer is on at Accent? They usually post to Facebook when a new or special beer is tapped.

Ended up just heading to the Sugarbowl to have some ABT 12 on tap. Always like it there.

They had Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat and HUB 7-Grain Stout on tap tonight. Was great, the lady loved it too, thanks for the recommendation!

Grabbed 4 bottles earlier. Got quite the haul!

Slightly off-topic question...having raided Sherbrooke today, is it worth also dropping by Keg n' Cork?

You won't find anything different in Keg n Cork. Stuff is slightly cheaper, but stock is similar.
