I showed up about 15 minutes after you @slengteng , went into the shack to check out the situation other than the line of ~25 and saw another 25+ inside, so I said to myself "hey no growlers today," jumped in line grabbed my two bottles of lucid and was gone in about 8 minutes. Nate said they had to open at 3:45 today due to the amount of people already there. Wish they had an online ordering system. Would gladly pay a $10 surcharge to not wait an hour and a half or more.

sounds like today was insane! Good for them. I'm guessing Julius is gone for the rest of the weekend. Wonder what will be on in addition to tornado? Kinda feels like there should be some Green coming soon!

Can't wait for prod to more closely approach demand

Thursdays always seem to be the craziest. And Saturday mornings.

I got there at 4:35 as well, must have been in that lucid line with you. I was the one who had to jump out of line to take my 5 year old to the porta-John. I was a little surprised to see the line of cars parked down the street at 4:30. They said about an hour wait for the growlers. It was a good two hours but goes by fast between the farm/creamery down the street and playing catch in the parking lot. A great visit.

There was some massively nasty backup heading east on the Pike when I was coming in (I come in from the east - heading west) so I didn't mind waiting because I figured I'd be sitting in a standstill on the Pike anyway, but under normal circumstances it's hard to justify a two hour wait even when I love the beer. I like that online ordering idea.

I think I need to give Friday a try.

I had the same thought when I saw the cars parked down the street. I have been there about that same time on Thursdays before and each time I was able to park in the lot. I guess it was the Lucid release bringing so many people in?

I'm pretty sure I saw a mean game of catch going on beside the shop just before my name was callled.

Yeah, it was a pretty mean game. My son finds it amusing to throw the ball as hard as he can at me from 5 feet away. At least it was a whiffle ball. Thank god for the paper ticket system they use, I wouldn't be able to stand in any growler line more than 20 minutes or so with my kids.

I'll echo the same experience. Figured I would show up at 430 to be there early. Surprised the amount of people already there. Got in the lucid line with only 5 people ahead me and then right behind me the line just grew quickly. Got my bottles and hit the road. Can't wait to crack one open.

You and me both. We are so very close to a massively more efficient system. . . Thank you all for your patience!

I loved your quote when we talked about upgrading the system " we're only trying to do this once" totally resonated with me, and I wish other brewers felt this way.

Did you try the cool ship red yet?

and it's gonna be great! You guys are doin' amazing. I can only imagine how giddy with excitement you must be.

after reading about yesterday's insanity, I was stunned to drive up at 4:55 and park right in the lot! I was out in less than 45min. It was fantastic.

This batch of Green is super fine delicious too

Any real time update would be appreciated for how things look this afternoon. I have friends traveling in from the west on 90 and they may be up for stopping to pick up some deliciousness on their way to Boston.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the tasty beer! Hopefully my critique on the wait last thursday wasn't discouraging. I only discuss the wait because I really enjoy the beer (and the whole experience you guys have going, for that matter) and care enough to post about it.

I have 750's of green and tornado. Thinking about letting them sit for a week in the fridge. Anyone do this? How well and how long should they hold up? There might be a celebratory drink this next week or the week after. Kinda want my wife's first post-pregnancy drink to be a Tree House.
