Sleeping on Otter Creek

Saw Overgrown as part of OC variety 12 packs in Mansfield (Wines & More) but did not see any on its own. Some places still have a lot of Fresh Slice to move if they're going to make room for Overgrown.

stovepipe was one of my goto's 15 years ago. have to admit I haven't bought it in a very long time, but that was one of the brews that I cut my teeth on

 

I kind of don't like Overloaded. It didn't really offer anything new.

I am hoping that Double Dose will come around again one day.

 

Bros think otherwise.

Can't wait to get Double Dose. I have a Shed Nosedive in the cellar...anybody try that? On the whole, I'm excited to see what is coming out of both Long Trail and Otter Creek. Since I'm often in Rochester (VT), Otter Creek is a fairly easy trip and is always in the local Macs Valley Market.

 

Otter Creek just posted a video (link) where Brewmaster Mike talks about Overgrown APA. He also says that the Otter Creek Oktoberfest (Sept 20) will have the release of Double Dose. Last year at their Oktoberfest, they also released Double Dose with Lawson's.

 

Craft beer is inconsistant as you know. It was thin and watery when I had it. Could have been a bad batch. Who knows.

 

Picked up Overgrown tonight. The spicy bitter kick at the end is surprising, and possibly a little too much for my tastes. Cool overall though.

 

I think it's a very drinkable and flavorful APA. Another winner from Mike Gerhart.

 

Overgrown was a bit too bitter for my tastes as well. I can see how people would like it, but it was a just a mouthful of lingering bitter bits.

 

Yeah, not really enjoying Overgrown. Got a bitter apple thing going on. Oh well.

 

Had overgrown on draft mid week, I thought it was awesome. Picked up a case at Kay's wine and spirits in ct if anybody looking for it. Fresh bottled 08/03

 

Any idea of how much DD they're brewing this year? More, less, same?

 

Finishing up my 1st bottle of Overgrown.Right up my alley,raw grapefruit bitterness.

Sessionable for the most part too! Very solid brew.

Just had an Overgrown after drinking a Trillium Fort Point w/ Double Galaxy, needless to say, Overgrown is pretty average.

 

Needless to say, that just isn't fair. LOL
