Citra is so good. So good. Put it in my belly, new favorite beer. I had been off the Pale Ales for a while, and Odd Side has renewed my faith! Yeeehaw!

Just to keep you folks informed, we at Short's are doing everything we possibly can to ensure that our product is at the utmost quality when it leaves our brewery. It is our #1 concern. Our recently developed QC department has been doing a phenomenal job. We're also about to undergo a massive expansion next month and will be implementing new brewing equipment that will assist us even more. I've been told by fellow coworkers that complaints are virtually non-existent as of late, which I hope will continue for eternity. I apologize for any issues you may have had with our product in the past. We've learned a lot about our beers after we first began bottling.

And we brew a LOT of bottled product, many of which have non-traditional brewing ingredients that can negatively affect the freshness while it sits on the shelf. The brew date can be located on the bottom of the bottle in black ink (you may have to hold the bottle next to a light, it can be faint). As of recently, we've started to place the dates on the neck of the bottle. I feel that 3-6 months is the usual freshness period for most of our beers.

As a brewery that strictly distributes to the state of Michigan, we strive to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Please feel free to contact me if you have any issues or questions. Thanks.

I had Odd Side Citra at Vinsetta Garage last week... completely blew me away and tasted vastly different than it did at Lockhart's.

HopHeadHerman - solid response, keep up the good work.

I wonder if Lockhart's got a bad keg or something, cuz I also remember being completely underwhelmed by it there.

30 L keg of Citra was tapped on Thursday, gone by Monday. And we have a small place. People were really digging the punchy grapefruit notes and mild ABV, so I found us selling multiples, as opposed to one or two (as with Hopslam or Oak Aged Unearthly or Gemini, etc etc).

Didn't realize they are open already. How was tap list? I live so close to there, that I am really hoping it is comparable with their other two bars.

It will be open soon, it was a private soft opening. Taplist was solid for sure, place gorgeous on the inside and the Macon Bacon Burger was incredible.

Just had a pint at the Clarkston Union, loved the citrus flavor.

I first read this as "Maple Bacon Burger" and immediately started drooling, and forgot about beer all together...

I just had this while hanging with Founder26 last night, he was kind enough to share it. WOW! Great beer! I had just finished up my last bottle of ZD the other night, and wont have more till the end of the month. With this only 40mins away, it makes me question my trip to FFF. Naaaah, we're still going F26! But man, what a good stand in for ZD! I will be getting my growler of it as soon as I can break away to get it done.

Found it on tap at an underrated Detroit bar on Friday: Park Bar. Can't beat the combination of their beer selection and schwarma from Bucharest next door.
