    Tragic.

Highly doubtful; Uber is only Denver proper.

Looks like the area stretches out to Morrison. Might make it, but can't tell for certain.

Do you have any idea if and when a list of the beers being poured will be released?

All 50 breweries are now posted so it should just be a matter of time for the actual beers list. It has been posted ahead of time every other year and all the info for this year says it will be available in advance as well, just no exact date. We're still two months out....

Whew. Just found out about this and grabbed up 2 tickets.
I've been to Denver every year for the past 6 years for GABF and haven't heard of this.
Seeing the brewers listed, I'm super pumped to try out some rare beers.

    Cheers folks,
can't wait to see y'all in October!

For those asking about which beers are being poured, I can tell you River North will be pouring Oud Bruin, our Belgian-style sour brown ale aged 20 months in red wine barrels with Brettanomyces.

In previous years how many people actual show up? Some of the beers already listed seem like it's well worth the price of admission. Was very upset couldn't get VIP tickets and would be quite sad to miss out on some of these by being an hour late.

Sorry you missed out on the VIP tickets. They were a new addition this year based on requests from guests during the last couple of Denver Rare Beer Tastings. We limited the VIP sale to 25% of the total tickets.

Here is a little background comparing the beers and the crowd this year and last.

Last year we had 650 people attending and 42 breweries on one floor of the McNichols Civic Center Building.

This year we will have 200 VIP and a max of 600 general admission attending and 50 breweries on two floors of McNichols.

In previous years we have had a small number of beers kick around 75-90 minutes into the event with the full crowd in the venue. We have had a good number of brewers still pouring beer at the end of the event each year. Our best recommendation is to hit your list of "must have" brewers early on and then try beers from new brewers you may not have experienced before. We have brewers from around the country and will have folks attending from at least 35 states and some foreign countries, so what might be an impossible to try brewery for some might be a short drive away for others.

Also, remember with your cost of admission besides the beer each guest received a tasting glass, program, pen, t-shirt and buffet lunch. During the event you get the chance to meet the men and women who brew these great beers. There is also an amazing silent auction with unique craft beer collectibles and experiences. And this year one of the Denver Rare Beer Tasting guests will win a nine night beer trip for two in October 2015 to Prague, Bamberg, Cologne and Brussels.

Our goal is to provide a memorable day of beer passion for everyone lucky enough to attend.

A bit disappointed in the offerings from Breck and WW to be honest. Breckenridge 2014 Barleywine Batch #1 is collecting dust on shelves all over Denver and WW Genesis is a main-stay beer for them. I suppose I am a bit spoiled having spent the weekend in Asheville for their craft beer though and hanging out at Wicked Weed most of the afternoon.

Agreed. It's a unfortunate when breweries bring shelf beer to the DRBT. There's a lot of other good stuff to be excited about though, so I won't complain too much.

I live just a little bit away from WW and I don't even know if they've put out anything rare. I mean, they don't make the same batch over and over for a lot of their beers, but that's somewhat different. Hey, maybe it'll be Genesis aged on kumquats or something. That'd be cool.

I will caveat my statement by saying that for non-traders, WW beer is extremely rare since they only distro to like 3 cities in NC and definitely not here in CO. I think they have the potential over the next few years to really build of a portfolio of sought after beers though as I was very impressed when I visited.

Right, but when I think of beer rarity I think of something that is rare for the brewery itself. On the other hand, I get that almost all of the country doesn't have distribution of the beer. It'd be similar to if Surly (which only has distribution to Minnesota and Chicago) brought a common beer to the event. Which they did last year (Misanthrope), though it wasn't a particularly common beer yet at that time (though its fairly common now, at least if you go to the brewery, and they're going to start canning it soon).

To me, something I can show up at the brewery at pretty much any time and get just isn't rare. That said, there are -plenty- of truly rare beers at the event that I'm not going to get bent out of shape at all about one or two beers. And if most people enjoy the chance to try a beer they haven't had (even if it isn't actually rare), that's great.

Still holding out hope though that they stashed a barrel somewhere of Genesis aged slightly differently than typical Genesis and that's what we get
