That may not be a bad thing. All 4 sound good to me.

Not gonna buy it to just try the Harvest Saison. Got no problem with Boston Lager or their pumpkin (it's okay) but I won't be buying this pack

Saw this and Oktoberfest at the grocery store already. I'll get it when I drink down some of my current summer stock. Did get a 6er of FW Oaktoberfest. Pretty good, plan to get more.

Their last saison (Rustic Saison) failed miserably at what they claimed they were trying to go for. Had no saison flavors whatsoever, just inoffensive blandness. I don't mind the new format but that they are describing this Harvest Saison as smelling "malty" I mean...it's a saison. It's supposed to be dry, estery and maybe a tad phenolic. This is not a good sign.

They better keep Old Fezziwig and Holiday Porter in the winter pack. And hopefully have Black 'n' Brew.

You might literally be the only person on this site that misses Cranberry Lambic Wheat Beer. And I don't mean "literally" in the ironic hipster way either. I mean there is a very really possibility that you are, in actual fact, the only person of the 403,148 users of this forum who wants that beer back.

Though I agree that Cream Stout is the bees knees, ants elbows, playboy's tits and all that jazz.

Please forgive me, I liked it. I like cranberry flavor. I liked that beer and so did some of my friends who have very respectable beer tastes. I don't care for any of the blueberry beers that Sam makes and cannot really stomach the cherry wheat anymore but the cranberry lambic was a decent beer, IMO, that changed the pace from the rest of the winter brews that were in the pack, which I also enjoy. If it does make a return then I will gladly send you any funky ass IPA or Hefe that I can find in exchange for the Cranberry Lambics you don't/won't drink. That goes for all the rest of the 403,148 other BAs out there.

Here, here. Cranberry Lambic is my highest Dev of a +31.5%. I found that beer to be quite enjoyable.
Disappointed to see only 4 beers in the fall pack - 3 of which the majority of us have had before.

The Harvest Saison tastes more like a saison than I thought it would. Its a better beer than I expected but of course I had low expectations. I'd buy a sixer of it.

Man, that's a really low-effort variety pack. I like Boston Lager but it isn't going to tempt anyone into trying this, and the pumpkin ale is really mediocre. Three bottles of a new saison isn't going to push me to pick up one of these. May as well just grab up a twelve pack of Oktoberfest since that's the only thing in there I'd really want.

Totally agree on the Cranberry Lambic. I appreciated it for a refreshing taste of something different. Especially the earlier brews. I thought the later versions were getting a bit too sweet.

I'm betting this pack sells itself, and they're just giving the people what they want. This is exactly the sort of thing that casual beer drinkers will be bringing to their Halloween and Thanksgiving parties, buying it in droves. No, it doesn't sound all that exciting, but we aren't exactly the demographic for this one I'd say.

Just wish for once they would ditch the Sam Adams lager. I can only cook so much!!!!

I would say this is always the case. Craft beer drinkers make up what, ~15% of the market? (I'm just throwing a number out for discussion's sake). That leaves 85% of the market that makes up Bud Light, wine, and hard liquor drinkers that could care less about IPAs. They enter the store looking for something a little different, maybe a bit classier than Bud Light. They see 120 different IPAs and 80 different pumpkin ales in the fridge, and then this mixture of confusing bombers and 750s on the shelf.

Then they think, "I just want to get in and out of the liquor store and grab some beer for my party tonight." Sam Adams mix pack, done.

Kind of a bummer they went this route. I enjoy their Octoberfest so I'll probably just stick to that this year vs. buying this variety pack.

Agreed. But I'm not a huge Saison fan and this is definitely a one and done for me, and I'll probably end up saving a bottle or two for guests.

My wife grabbed a pack since it was on sale. Tried the Harvest Saison and it was not bad. I like the configuration of this pack and going forward I think the 4/4/2/2 split is better.

Bought this pack about a week ago, I was intrigued by the saison. Definitely a lot better than I thought it was going to be.

I like to support Sam Adams and buy a sampler pack for each of their seasons. Sam Adams Boston Lager is the beer that got me into "craft" beer. Are their beers "outstanding" and top shelf-no. But in all honesty- I don't always want a top shelf beer that is rated in the 90's. Sometimes I just want a good beer that is fun to try and I can sit down and relax and know am not going to get anything horrible either- I get this from Sam Adams variety packs. I am looking forward to the Saison, and the oktoberfest is one of my favorite fall beers.

It's on shelves now and 4 varieties as you detailed. Not sure if the saison is Rustic Saison rebranded
