Glad you liked it, it's a perfect go-to shelf stout around here. Could defintely send more if you ever wanted it. I'm looking forward to finally trying the BA version that a friend is going to share.

Not having room for growlers for your Locals box shouldn't be too big an issue, since they shouldn't be around very long you should get them the same day as your box is going out (or as close to it as possible), and fridge space doesn't come into play. Now, your own growlers that you'll get when you go to a place like one of those is another story, can't help you there other than to say "drink them as soon as you get home".

As far as HF and Lawson's are concerned, with the caveat that no one will think less of you for not including them, chasing down something hard to get for the benefit of your target is a big part of the fun, "oooo he'll really like that" is my 2nd favorite part of BIFs behind my target's beer **** when he gets his box. (Getting my own box is third, but to be honest all three are a pretty tight race)

LOL. If I hadn't BIF'd with you a couple times I might believe you when you say that, but I've seen your boxes...

RIP Ralph Spier (pictured at left), September 19th, 2006- August 13th, 2014. Picking him up from the breeder was one of the first things I did after I finished my time at Lehigh, while still living with my parents he moved into my girlfriend's parents' house with her. Within just a couple weeks I was, for all intents and purposes, living at her house to help take care of him. Since then, he's been around for me proposing to that girl, moving into the apartment the three of us shared for a year, during that year me marrying that girlfriend, and then buying a house with her. He was here to approve of the cat we got when we moved into the house, and then each of the two babies we've brought home since.

I try to not ask for too much around here, and I know it's a Wednesday, but I'd really appreciate it if any of you that can would join me in toasting my best friend tonight, I know I'll be cracking something special in his honor.

join the party, my man! we all just want to buy a stranger from 6 states away ~a case of beers and ship it to their front porches in 2-3 boxes so their spouses/significant others/cats or dogs think they have a serious problem ... and your brews will suffice for that!

but seriously you have more desirable beers than I do in MD, but people still enjoy the effort, thoughtfulness, and surprises that local favorites represent from a random sender! This really isn't a 'whale me, brah' BIF unless you get @wheelzntoys ... have you seen that dude's distro :grimacing::astonished::sunglasses::wink:

Ill grab bottles of this and bring it to the booming metropolis of Plymouth Meeting when I shoot up in the 2nd week of September!

Sorry to hear about your dog. The thing is these damn animals (and I mean this in a good way) just crawl right into the middle of your heart. The good thing is that they never leave your heart which is a good thing.
I will toast to him this evening while I think of my two that have passed on.

So sorry for your loss and it is least I can do to honor your pup with a special brew tonight. You can count on that, let me think on what to open. Being a big dog lover myself I offer my sincere condolences bud.

Went through my beer fridge for something special that I thought would fit this situation the best. This is what I came up with. My first time having this beer and my only bottle. It is truly delicious. Now I'm ISO more....

Again, sorry for your loss @Lehighace06.

Very sorry to hear it Lehighace, losing a dog can be one of the worst feelings. I'm drinking a Goose Island Matilda in his honor. My dog is named Sofie after another GI beer and Matilda was as close as I could get while on the road.
