Nothing too fancy here. Just some steaks and some good beer.

Well, seems Blue Point's sale to the evil bev-pire hasn't killed their quality. Even at a couple months old, this is still pretty darned good. Haven't had many beers using mosaic hops...well, not that I know of.

Replacements for drain pours must be can't miss beers. So here is mine, Founders Dissenter. Huge ripe mango smell and very juicy hop flavors with a crisp lager finish. Superb.

Day 2 on the road to New Mexico -- Big fat hello from Cleveland, OH!

Been wanting to try this one for awhile now, but glad I waited until I could get it fresh. Ridiculous aroma…gushing with tropical hops, followed by a grapefruit smack in the face flavor-wise. Bravo Fat Heads. I like this a lot.

    Cheers BA!

Last night, after grilling some steaks, finished the evening splitting some Dinner for dessert with my wife, and Knapp85. Many thanks to the generosity of @twizzard for sending this fantabulous hop bomb of a beer!!

My first pumpkin beer of the season. Well, arguably the season.

    A pretty solid stout.

And of course I couldn't resist mixing them together. I think I actually like the mixture more than I like either one by itself. Happy hump day, all!!

Wow, I've been to work on the Westbrook haul...after this, one lonely gose remains, which I want to side-by-side with Anderson Valley and Troublesome (Off-Color)...

I'm guessing you notice that similar flavor in most of their pales? Imperial Red doesn't have much of it at all IMO; it is pretty rich, and I think of it as a very easy-drinking strong ale. It is probably my favorite offering by them, and I think definitely worth a try given the cost. Also, if you're a fan of milds, Lagunitas Censored is ridiculously mild given the ~7% ABV. If you're a fan of stouts/malty beers, I'd recommend Lagunitas Imperial Stout and Hairy Eyeball (Scotch/Old Ale). Cheers!
