Thanks guys, it's good to know I'll have someone to drink with tonight. I found a natural choice for my own bottle tonight, one I got in another BIF - Hair of the Dog - Doggie Claws. Not only is it the only dog-adjacent beer I've got, it's even got an English Bulldog on it. Now that the kids are down, I'm about to crack it open.

 

My selection dedicated to Ralph along with my rescued pups Thor and Rousey. I chose the Flying Dog Brewing 2013 BA Gonzo Imperial Porter. For two reasons one the obvious dog reference but two the artist who does the label art is Ralph Steadman so I just found it a fitting beer for the occasion. Sorry again for your loss buddy. Cheers to Ralph!

Always sad to lose a pet, especially when you consider that they give unconditional love and support 24/7.

This couldn't be more true. Our pets know nothing less than love and companionship.

When I return from a work trip they will run circles around me, lick me, lay by my side while my wife tells me she missed me then gives me several tasks to get done.

 

Not from yesterday, but... I can't trust Polo with beer bottles.

So having received beer mail several days in a row my porch has been begging me for a day off. I thought the streak was going to come to an end until @wheelzntoys hit me with a stealth heat seeking missile of Permawants (Pliny and Red Poppy wife loves) and a Grapefruit Sculpin which I have been dying to try. Thank you a bunch Jose unneccessary but definitely appreciated! Cheers!!

 

I'm not used to session beers, great aroma and light on the flavor, nice for a Wed beer.

It has it's place with a low ABV, usually my lightest IPAs are the in area of 6%, Swamis and Freshly Squeezed.

 

Wow, cracked open one of my 120 min to give it a try on the fresh side (these bottles only just shy of 3 months old), and I'm not sure I'm a fan fresh. I've heard it's MUCH better with age (the booziness tends to fade) but as it stands, way too malty and boozy for my liking.

Will still finish it though.

 

So in an exhibition of family's fruitful loins, there were 128 people at the reunion this year.

I would honestly be shocked by a reappearance here, but I periodically check to see if he's active elsewhere -- as far as I can tell, he's been online a few times (but not many) and hasn't been active at all as far as posting is concerned.

 

Head count was 160 two years ago. This was small.
