Does anyone have any details on when these might be released again? All I could find is that they should be released sometime this fall. Also - will there be an event or will they hit distribution?

There are no details at all on this year's release yet that I have heard of. Though I am pretty sure I remember reading/hearing somewhere that they were looking to yield about the same number of bottles as last year.

I still don't get it, why would Mornin Delight be released on the same day as Surlyfest? Is there something that would tie the two together?

Nothing to do with Surlyfest, completely spaced that's the same day as Zwanze day...

If morning delight isn't barrel aged, why don't they brew it more often?

That's a good question shadetree67. I know last year at the Assassin release he said that MD was expensive to make.

I'm sure they use very high quality maple syrup which all of us waffle/pancake eaters know isn't cheap.

Since they use maple syrup, brewing could coincide with the spring harvest. I believe maple syrup is pretty shelf stable, but if they want to use it fresh, could be the reason.

They use the Maple syrup from Clark's family farm where they've had a sugar shack for years. Morning Delight is incredible for any fan of Maple Stouts. I am such a fan, and KBBS is the best beer I have ever had.
