They did, but I think it was posted the day before the festival.

For those that have tickets to the rare beer section, Bear Republic is bringing Tartare Peche per their Facebook page.

Been scouring the web for other, similar updates. Wish it was easier to search Facebook posts...

If only they had the list for the rare beer section posted, or able to post it...Dr. Bill keeping us in the dark *shakes fist*.

I just like to plan my tasters ahead of time to try and get the most of what I want. Guess I will just need to convince the better half that 15 tasters is too much and somehow sneak using her tabs or punches depending on how they do the tasters for this one.

So.....entering the main festival and running to booth 21 to get my Compunction...got it. I wonder if it will be halfway down the steps like last year with one long line that everyone stood in only to realize that line was just for Pliney and not for their other offering until some random group of "bros" started a second line to the second tap and then BAM that took off.

Haha yup, I have my map printed already. Next booth 54 and the Fuzzy Angel, 55 for the unlisted "Goldie". Imperial Hefe from Stone Liberty Station sounds interesting too as well as some beers from #2 Hop Wagon...and then up to the rare beer tent.

PS. How do those food booths work? Is everything listed on that map complimentary or there are some available for purchase?

All food in the main event is purchasable. All food in the rare beer section is free.

Edit: If you are there in the rare beer section I noticed last year that during the intermission time between A and B groups that the food vendors were not at full swing so those might be less-manned/taking a break during that time. Of course you might also get lucky too, last year we pulled down a $5 large pizza from Pizza Port because they didn't want it to get cold.

Edit the second: The beer cheese section has samples of their cheese on crackers and you could just keep getting in line. Not sure if they were selling their cheese there as well or if those that ordered it previously could just pick it up.

Related to the intermission (first time attendee here): What happens for the folks who bought the all-day pass in that 2-3 window? Can only eat food while beer is shut down for an hour? Figured I'd shape teasting strategy accordingly.

    Thanks!

Well they kicked everyone out of the large main festival, even those with the allday pass last year. However they seperated it enough where the alldayers could still get into Upper Festival area, which is where the pizza was.

As for the beer shutdown, some poured but you had to be really nice, or bring a really cute girl with you (guarenteed that is the only way I got a beer during that time) but the rare-beer tent pours all day anyways. So during that time you can just head back to the rarebeer area and keep drinking without a care in the world.

Also I think that the break in between sessions is only maybe 30minutes or so.

Edit: Also welcome first-timer...I lost track of the # of these I have attended, always very enjoyable. Bring some water with you, although there are water stations these can get warm at times. Sunscreen! and/or hat. The rarebeer area had some shade in the form of a tent but it was mostly covering the beer so near the end of the festival all the tables were really hot to the touch, grass was nice though.

All great tips -- thanks for the heads-up! Will be sure to bring a water bottle or two with me, along with hat and sunscreen.

Yeah, was asking about the general area for beer, only because I was considering just wandering over there during intermission (if they're still pouring) for the few I wanted in that space. Might do it the other way, though -- get those guest brews in the general area first, then head up to the rare beer area for the rest of the day.

    Thanks for the input!

Not happening  Watch me running at 11:00am!

Can you really spend all day there? I'm worried that I'll be done with my 15 tasters at around 1pm

I can't imagine getting there at 11am and staying until 6pm. That would be really slow drinking.
