    Amazing beer. Maybe my new favorite APA, no kidding. If you like tropical notes from your hops this one is a must try.

    Took the night off last night from drinking...and going for one tonight celebratory type beer as my son's first baseball game of the fall season was a slugfest!! Batted around and scored 10 runs in the first inning! Final score was 17-1; I gotta say it's sweet to be on the other side of a lopsided score for a change after the last few years of him being on losing teams!!
    :grinning::grinning:Proud Dad right here!!!:grinning::grinning:
    So tonight's selection is a light farmhouse ale from Terrapin, thanks again @Ozzylizard !!

    Revisiting a few reviews:

    This was a big improvement over my first experience 3 years ago(aka nothing but booze). This was quite nice and I really enjoyed it. Taste of apricot, orange, pear, apple, plum, light banana, clove, pepper, honey, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy spice on the finish. Nice complexity and very well balanced malt and yeast ester flavors. No cloying or booze at all. Very smooth and a bit slick/crisp, and dangerously sippable @ 10%.

    I reviewed a 2.5 YO last year. Time for the fresh stuff. This one is just as insane as I remember the one last year. Huge milk chocolate, cocoa, roast, fudge, coffee, caramel, toffee, cream, vanilla. Fair amount of roasted coffee bitterness on the finish. Well balanced with zero cloying sweetness. So smooth for 10%. The whole blackwater series is in my top stouts as far as availability is concerned. They sit on the shelf, but they are all fantastic. All we need now it to coerce them to bring Oat and Jah-Va back from the dead. I had some 2 year old ones last year. They were still outstanding.
