I'll better share a bottle with someone before my wife finds out about that  Anybody care to split one?

I dunno about that. I bought 2 bottles of the 2009 in late 2010 for still $40/bottle. Same price as they were at release.

That is why I bring my better half with me. She won't finish her tasters due to the heat....so I win them by default (or mostly because I am driving her there and if she wants a ride home....yeah....YEAH!).

See, my wife doesn't drink any alcohol. So good part - all tasters mine, good part #2 - always available DD, bad part - no sharing of any beer if needed. Anyway, I won't complain. After this Lost Abbey announcement I seriously can't wait till Saturday. Not only DDG, but also Spontaneous Cheer on tap...What a start. After a few rounds there I'm sure those 15 tasters will be ok

Is there a way I can like this more? I mean I suppose I could go spam account creating but I really did like this at the sourfest. Sadly I was a newb when I picked up my veritas this year, saw it on tap..was like..da fuq is that, and grabbed some red poppy instead, opportunity missed.

I asked them about it last time I went and they said it was something they brewed for the employees and holiday parties and what not, so unlikely we'll ever see it. Fingers crossed that they bottle it one year and call it a veritas 14 or something loll.

I remember thinking the v013 taster paled in comparison

I still have not opened my Veritas 13, course I only have 2 bottles.. still got 6 of the DDG though...should almost be enough to last me until the next batch.

Welp, guess I am going to the LA breakfast....so yeah...def buying a DDG while there because....why not. If there is some left in the bottle you can come up to me with an empty glass and I will be more than happy to share.

Yup. Me too. Waking up at 6:30am is going to hurt, but then it's only going to get better

the water stations should be nice and cold this year, they under tents and a much bigger than a regular water cooler. ill be hangin around as an ambassador so please come say hi to me! ill be one of the smarties with a big umbrella  and a mister which i will totally use on you!

Lagged on getting tickets and they aren't available online anymore. Is it a pain to try and pay at the door?

Has Lost Abbey done the breakfast thing before? If so, how early does one need to get to there for the breakfast food?

They have for the last hand full of years. I'd say you would need to get there within the first hour to guarantee yourself some food, you are rolling the dice after that. However, it has been getting more and more crowded every year. Due to the fact that their beer line up this year both draft and bottles (DDG, V013, spontaneous cheer, red poppy) it might go more quickly.

I am planning on getting there around 8am or so.

I'll be the guy with a DDG and a spontaneous cheer in hand wearing a nerdy 3 mice shirt. W000...nerd!!!

I really enjoyed the Friday night brewers reception.
I attended this for the first time this year, after many years of attending the main Festival.
Unlimited pours, free food, small crowds. This is definitely an "advocate" event.
It may not satisfy the whale hunters, but is likely to please all others.
I will be attending this event again in the future.
