    Hey guys,

Looking for My buddies and I are heading to

    US Cellular (section 115)
    Miller Park (Section 110)
    Wrigley (Bleachers)

Wondering what the closest craft stands in the parks are? Using the WaPo article about best craft parks I'm mostly looking for Half Acre at US Cellular, Bells and Milwaukee brewing at Miller. Wrigley looks pretty bad unfortunately.

Also we're staying at the Astor in Milwaukee and Hyatt McCormick in Chicago if there's any must hit bottle shops in the area. My friends like craft, but not quite like I do. I can convince them to go a bit out of the way but not too far.

    Cheers!

haven't been to a sox game this year but they now have Rev anti-hero there. Between that & if they still have daisy cutter, you're covered. Here's a post with some details. Have fun.

Awesome. Looks like the craft stands are near the foul poles. Well worth a few section walk. And cheaper than Yankee Stadium!

The craft selection in these ballparks is lacking and overpriced. While you are at wrigley go to ginger man (one block north) or goose island wrigley (half block south) both on Clark. Or take a cab to the revolution pub or half acre tasting room before or after the game. Both are not too far from wrigley.

Miller park has a nice selection of 16oz cans for $8. Things like ranger, torpedo, Oberon, capital IPA as well as some other Wisconsin locals. Wrigley now has Matilda and sofie for $10 per bottle and 16oz cans of 312 pale/wheat for 7.50ish. Haven't been to the cell in sometime but I know they do have anti hero and daisy.

Miller Park craft stands are near the ends. Not much in terms of good tappers, but tons in cans as 311 said above. They are, I believe, near the far ends of the first level.

I can't speak for the other two parks, but the selection at The Cell is definitely not "lacking". I can't tell you where the stands are downstairs as I always sit up in the cheap seats, but the craft beer stands, at a minimum, carry the following (bottles and cans):
    • Barfly IPA
    • Half Acre Daisy Cutter
    • New Holland Mad Hatter
    • Lagunitas Daytime IPA
    • Bells Oberon
    • Chi Town Windy City Wheat
    • Two Brothers Ebel’s Weiss
    • Great Lakes Elliott Ness
    • Veteran Blonde Bomber
    • Revolution Anti-Hero
I know the full selection is significantly longer. Been to six games so far this year and I would say the full lineup at the craft beer stand has at least 20-25 brews. They try to focus on Midwest stuff. Tailgate to your hearts content or hit up ChiSox bar and grill before the game.

Oddly enough, I have a friend from PA making the exact same trip this weekend. Anyway, as others have mentioned, US Cellular isn't that bad as far as ballparks are concerned. On the lower level there are at least two places that have Midwest focused beer. Like @SinBoldly said, about 20-25. I usually stick with the Eliot Ness. Beers at Wrigley are Bud/Bud Light, Old Style/Old Style Light, 312 Wheat/312 Pale, Matilda/Sofie and there is one or two places in the building to get a Corona/Guinness. I've only been to Miller Park twice, but remember how much I didn't really want to drink MGD/Miller Lite or Redd's Apple Ale.
    Have a great trip!

I usually just drink Old Style at Wrigley. A fun tradition that's easier than figuring out where the best beer in the ballpark is at.

wrigley is terrible. u might get a 312 pale wheat or 312 pale ale or green line. better off saving your money and hitting a bar after.

I did these 3 parks a couple years ago and the thing that sucked about US Cellular was that they wouldn't let you go from the upper level to any of the lower levels. Never saw that before. At least I was able to get some Half Acre on the way in and Bells Oberon at the stand in the upper deck. Personally I'd pass at Wrigley and just take the train to Hopleaf or Revolution. Miller Park had decent NG bottles along the outfield sections.

    @socon67

Just an FYI about The Cell, maybe it wasn't this way a couple years ago (can't remember), but there's a complete craft stand right behind home plate upstairs, so anything you can get downstairs you can also get upstairs.

You may be correct, as I did get a pout of Oberon behind home plate. I went in 2012. But as someone who has been to many of the MLB stadiums (21 down so far), US Cellular was the first one that I've seen you just not allowed on a lower level. I get that most keep you off the luxury box areas but it seemed silly, as I enjoy walking the stadium and checking out the beer options.

Dodger Stadium was like that last time I was there also.

I was at the Dodgers way back in 2000, so my only good recollection was that the beer selection at that time sucked, the nachos were incredible, and people didn't stay past the 6th inning.

You can thank this classy gentleman for the reason you're not allowed to roam the stadium

I'm thinking it's the stadiums that require a bit of heightened security that institute the policy... you can only enter through the gate designated on your ticket at Dodgers games as well... even just 2000 was a different time... back in the olden days one could roam freely around a stadium.

OP, at The Cell, section 117 puts you right in between two craft beers stands. One around section 125 and one around section 111. as mentioned anti-hero and daisy cutter should get you through the game.
