just hit beer number 500

    Thanks guys :slight_smile: I almost didn't catch it but happen to look at the number and was like wow can't believe I'm at 500.

    My liver says congrats to your liver. I did not realize #500 was such a big deal, now I'm feeling proud of myself too. :-)

    Under the new point system on BA you should be getting some sort of bonus points soon if you have not received them already.

    Just checked my history - it took me over 3 years to get to #500 (in May of 2009 if my sorting was correct), so to the OP (whose BA membership date is 2013), you're cruising. . . .

    I'm approaching 1200 here - with all but a handful being full reviews. My liver hates me. My wallet hates me. But the guys at the local beer distributor really like me. . . .

    Yea once I saw it I was pretty shocked I'm definitely not a ticker but if a beer looks interesting I'll definitely try it and yea seems like yesterday I was just getting serious about craft beer

    Thanks for the mention. I just hope that I'm an example of the thought, appreciation and humility with which I approach the beers and not so much for the numbers... (hiccup!)

    all reviews I don't tick i drink only beers I'm interested in and rate in a review like thoughtfullyness of each beer.I drink mainly imperial stouts so the fact I hit 500 at all is surprising to me.thank you all for the kind words for 1,000 I will be sure to do something crazy

    At 774 you feel there are only beers you don't want to try left? Expand your horizons sir =) I'm closing in on 1500 and still feel like a total newb and have close to 700 beers on my WANTS list! Hell, there's a guy in my tasting group that has well over 8000 ticks, and just yesterday was blown away by some beers he hadn't had before! Trust me, there is PLENTY more good beer for you to try!!
