I just about have enough beer in fermenters to tip me over the edge. I've got roughtly 20 gal of beer in the keezer, 2 kegs waiting to fill, and 4 strains of yeast I need to figure out how to keep alive. I should probably put pen to paper this weekend and figure out what my next 5 or 6 batches are going to be.

I'm brewing a 5 gallon batch of my Openly Gay IPA, in honor of the EPL opening day kick off. I have citra, Columbus, warrior, and centennial hops I'm gonna use

All four of my brews will be done today, sparging the very last one right now. Success.

My old thermometer stopped working, so I ordered a better one on Amazon...Was planning to brew today, USPS didn't deliver it today so won't be brewing until next week it seems. Been planning a TT Landlord clone, and some sort of Imperial Stout (to be determined). Got some starters going though, at least.

Going to try and fit in an imperial stout tomorrow to have ready for the colder months. This will be my biggest beer in my young career, so it should be interesting! Also need to move a simple wheat to secondary on top of some raspberries and jalapeƱos, similar to a recipe found in BYO

Just did an extract APA with a buddy who's interested in learning how to brew. My first extract beer in some time: I usually recommend new brewers start with extract, so I figured I'd do a batch with him. Maris otter extract with a little C40, all citra. Looking forward to seeing how this one comes out. It certainly was nice to be finished in less than 3 hours, might be tempted to do all my APAs with extract if this one is good.

I brewed for the first time in months, I did a 10 gallon batch of Germanish wheat beer, I call it the Hefe Grande: 10 gallons, made with 16 pounds of Munich 1 and 12 pounds of red wheat.

While not at all necessary, I opted to ditch the large plate style heat shield that came with my blichmann burners for this one that goes under the siteglass...

    Model HS.SM.LC

I like to tell myself I'm getting better kettle heating due to that decision!

P.S. That link also has models for the ball valve, but I never bothered getting one of those (especially since the description says they don't fit all 3 piece ball valves) and haven't had an issue after years of boiling.

Found a productive vine. Just shy of 6lb of wild grapes are getting the base-sour treatment.

Where are you at in Texas? I'm near Corpus Christi. It has been one hot ass summer most days over 100F, where I'm at. But I agree those Hefe's are great in the heat
