I have a few things that would be called whales - 09 and 11 Kate the Great, 09, 10 and 12 Dark Lord,
Westy Brick, FSW 14 and 15, bunch of BCBS, pre and post ABInbev...
One of my favorites is a bottle of Ommegang Abbey. Oh, yeah, it's a jeroboam, signed by the brewer.
I also have some Rare Vos and 3 Philosphers, aged in bourbon barrels.
Don't know if the Ommegangs qualify as walez. but they're prized parts of the cellar.

As you're new, here's two things you should know -
    1. Except for in the case of a nuclear beer holocaust where every brew in the world is destroyed (except somehow Stone products survive), Old Guardian will never be a whale, it's just too widely available
    2. You don't need to "sign" your posts, the avatar to the left of your post is your signature.

    Enjoy your time on BA!

I have a 2012 Fayston bourbon barrel stout and a maple tripple from Lawson's that are probably the most prized. An Event Horizon, too. I like a cellar with no rush. It'll be great to drink them all, but I'm in no rush. Why not savor them on special occasions.

I didnt mean like the stone itself would literally age into a whale. and i like signing after each post. Dislike it if you want but i dont recall reading a rule saying i cant. So until that is made....

That's really cute and fun. Does your Dad know you use his computer to go to a website about beer?

Yup, and he also buys me all these wonderful beers so i can post about them. he told me he would get me a real whale when he finally gets that bonus from work they have been promising him.

Your kids...in the avatar? do they know their maturity level has already passed their fathers? Why dont we stop worrying about how people post and get back to the actual topic of the thread.

What the hell is the rule on what makes a "whale"? Hell Heady is a whale to some who chase it. Clearly not ordinary shelf beers, but beyond that it seems pretty arbitrary.

...And then soon to be none of them as I drink all my beers, cellar included. Oh well, they will be replaced.:grinning:

Nearest I have to a whale is Luscious, or maybe an old Brute. I tend to want to drink all the better beer comes my way.

Ah c'mon I was just enjoying the back and forth, don't stop now.

Be yourself man, don't let anyone influence your style, welcome aboard. You aren't the only BA forces us to read his handle after a post. Although you are the only one forces us to read the word Coors when we do

Some folks aren't even able to buy Stone products, and I had an 8 year old Old Guardian that deserves to be a whale, fucking delicious.

Woot stout 2.0. I consider it a "whale" mostly because of how hard it was to find. After that then probably '14 Parabola. Again hard to find. Even the FW brewery store is sold out of em.

It would be even more whale-y if it was signed by Daryl Hall.

Fresno/Clovis, more import question is what stores are you seeing this in? I'm heading down to LA next week for FS vs USC.
