First time having this, and my suspicion was correct. It goes wonderfully with my PB&J

As a sucker for milk stouts, this beer is incredible. Kuhnhenn Todd's Michigan Mudd imperial milk stout. Delicious!

Figured it was best to post this now, since the time difference is so much. By the time I usually have my first one, all of y'all are sleeping... or should be. Went down to Kaimana Beach, which is 3 miles from my house and just east of the famed Waikiki. I'm not much of a Waikiki fan, so we don't go there much. Entirely too busy, takes way longer to go short distances than it should, and there lots of old, fat European men in thongs. Yes, thongs. On top of that, you can't have a beer or smoke a cigar. Kaimana though, you can have beer, cigars, and don't have to worry about explaining to your 3 year old daughter, why a dude is wearing a women's bathing suit. I'm all about personal liberties, so I just have to say, to each their own.

Here's a couple shots, just before the sunset. It was so beautiful, I'm so blessed to live here. Notice the rain squall over to the left, pretty cool.

This was seconds before the sunset, from the water. My phone is water proof, so I have no qualms with getting it wet. To the left is a guy on a surfboard and a sailboat off in the distance.

I was planning on having my COAST Boy King, but decided to hold off, maybe today after work. Instead, the in law brought me a Primo to enjoy with our picnic.

Good afternoon BAs! Pretty much screwing off today and catching up on my drinking - my serum ethanol levels had dropped precipitously into the "compatible with life" range! I am pleasantly surprised by this brew and think it's underrated here on BA, but then I'm lovin' Thai curries.

OK you guys! You have all heard me rave about troegs. Heard me say how their beers are seamless, intricate and as delicate as a hand tatted piece of lace. Well this is a monster of a beer! This beer here seems to me to show troegs as the skillful brewers they are. They have created a west coast style mouthfeel that you cannot imagine. This si a 6.2 % beer that drinks like a session IPA. EXCEPT for the flavor of it which has the bit of alcohol in it. I think it's tongue in cheek and is brilliant. Grapefruit with it's inherent sweetness light even amidst all it's pith and peel. The biscuit malt dry, flaky and sweet without honey. There is a mysterious tropical fruit in this that at first seems to be the honey I am looking for, but then is really a light tropical fruit I cannot name. Light spice to finish this one with the perfect bitter. I remember talking about how a bitter in an IPA should come from underneath the beer and not ride roughshod over the entire flavor profile. That is what this one does. Now that's BOLD brewing that speaks to what is possible and to what people seem to be clamoring for.

OH! I am in love. I only bought one and I have to admit I like itbetter than perpetual IPA which is more sugary than this one. This one is the tantalizing grapefruit and not 5 other things, light as an angel food cake.
