The black and tan is an obvious example. I myself like mixing Samuel Smiths Organic Chocolate Stout with a vanilla porter. Breckenridge Vanilla Porter or Liennie's Snowdrift Vanilla Porter work well. Evil Twin brewing is now recommending that you mix their Yin and Yang.

Much as I enjoy but am disturbed by occasional excellence life is not too short to drink bad beer. For me 12 oz of Yuengling Bock mixed with 16 oz of STEEL RESERVE in a quart glass is excellence enau.

You never know what you'll find. My retailer suggested mixing Southern Tier's Warlock and Pumpking. It was actually quite good. I couldn't layer them, though, like a black and tan, which is a traditional mix.

When the Snowdrift Vanilla Porter is out of season you can use any vanilla porter of like quality. Breckenridge Vanilla Porter is suitable.

In the world of the soda and the big gulp this is called a suicide. (to mix all the flavors of soda in one cup) Old as dirt and if they come up with falvors that the patrons like then it's good. =)

Sam Smith chocolate stout on top of a framboise is pretty tasty.

Mixing beers is great. It creates a new flavor experience. This year I'm going to try Pumking with a little Creme Brulee.

Any chocolate stout with Big Rod coconut ale or Kona loco coco tastes like Mounds candy bar.

When I had them both, I would mix Sierra Nevada Stout with Torpedo. It obviously didnt layer like a black & tan, but it was nevertheless really good IMO. Another good beer mix, which I found in another BA thread, was mixing Rubeus with Petrus Golden ale. Now thats a really good mix!!

Not sure if it's a fairly standard mix or not, but had a "Dirty Hoe" in Rehoboth, DE one time, and have often done it in the summer as a refreshing drink: Lindeman's Framboise and Hoegaarden.

Done a few others, none that I would do again, but these replies are giving me some ideas.

DFH is my favorite brewery and WWS and 120 are two of my favorites by them. But mixed together? I cant picture that. I'd be afraid to ruin them. How would you describe the taste?

Finally did this a month ago... I think it's worse than 120 by itself, but maybe it's because I just really dislike WWS so I think it ruins the 120

I'm a horrific reviewer, so I don't write them. I pour these 60 percent WWS, the rest 120. YMMV. It's quite boozy, and smells fantastic.

I dont doubt the aroma would be amazing. Just cant imagine the taste. I may have to give it a try. I still have a bottle of 120 aging somewhere in my basement. Just need a WWS.
