I seriously doubt it will be this weekend. I wish it were, too, but I'm not counting on it.

has there even been an update that the other variations other than the four roses and tequila have been bottled yet?

 

Releasing the bottles tomorrow would be a mighty fine idea. Just saying.

There have been articles stating that there are more variations/higher number of bottles to be released this year


But of course, and as with many of the things you see/hear on the web nowadays, it could most certainly just be speculation

I'm not sure what you've seen, but everything I've seen points to two variations (Four Roses & Tequila). I've spoken to several locals that say there are only two variants coming out this year.

I honestly don't care if we get that info beforehand, but I'd love to hear anything at all about when to pack my bag I really just want to visit Westbrook and get a beer I'm not going to try and trade for while making a small beercation out of it.

 

Not trying to call you out but Id be interested in seeing those articles. I know there was lots of speculation and message board posts about potential variants , but I didnt see any articles (or even blog posts). I could have just missed it though. I'm a local and have been in the barrel room and I suspect that there will only be two variants released. I wouldnt be surprised if there was more of the bourbon variant than people are anticipating.

Also, there may or may not be a super secret, members only, VIP-exclusive variant. But I dont anticipate it will be part of this release. If it exists...

 

I believe Westbrook tweeted something something about a cognac barrel cake awhile back...

 

That is what I was referring to, but I believe after rereading them, they were out into barrels recently, so nevermind, my bad!

 

i hope i can make the release this year. last year's were so good. and charleston is so fun.

 

At the brewery, I saw Pritchard's, Pritchard's Chocolate, Pritchard's Tennessee, and Tequila. So that's 4 as far as I can confirm from my eyeballs, which should mean jack and shit to anyone who isn't me.

 

The Pritchards Chocolate was filled with this years batch for next years release. Im assuming the other Pritchards barrels are the same.

 

No, all 4 were dated 2013.

 

I definitely saw a chocolate that was recently filled in July 2014 (I think July). Everyone seemed to think there were only two variants coming out. I definitely don't think 5+ seems realistic.

 

There is a 14 as well, that they posted on twitter or instagram. The barrels that they had out to bottle the other week, there were 3 different pritchards, and tequila. I don't know if some of those might be one off's for festivals or the brewery, but I'm certain what I saw, and I specifically checked dates.
