You live in Texas, you have one of the kings of sours in your backyard, literally, jester king. I would go to their brewery and try some of their beers asap.

Unfortunately I live in west Texas, about a 7 hour drive from Jester King. Maybe someday.

Consecration is very drinkable, so I'd say dive in. The only problem is you're starting near the top of the mountain so it'll be difficult (and expensive!) to find something better.

If you can find a nice Quebecer who has extras, try some of Dieu Du Ciel's "Solstice d'Ete".

    A few more Ontario options.....

Nickel Brook Uber Berliner, now in the LCBO.

Bellwoods Donkey Venom (wild, sour porter) is now back, or will be back shortly, if you are near Toronto.

Zwanze Day, Bar Volo, Sept. 20. Cantillon's 2014 version of their lambic or lambic hybrid Zwanze beer, plus sour beers from all over Ontario. I don't think ticket deets have been released yet, but keep your eyes open, they'll go fast. A great mini-fest/intro to sours, again only if you are near TO.

Toronto's Wilson St LCBO (near Yorkdale Mall) has the style of 'Gose' by Three Musketeers from Quebec. I picked one up 2 days ago. They also have some other sours there as well, if you live in the GTA, might be worth checking it out!
