Newburgh CAFE Sour. Didn't like this one the first time I had it but after halfway through the glass I was in love. Strong fresh coffee bean aroma and taste and then a sour finish. Sounds weird...and it is...but I love it. Lily doesn't approve yet.

I had the XXIV last weekend and was easily my favorite BA Deschutes release. If only XXV was half as good.

Alabama Thunderpussy.....got a special spot for them and that album. Saw them on tour for that album opening up for Orange Goblin at the Khyber in Philly. Hadn't heard of them prior and went to the show for OG and would have happily allowed OG to take the night off and have ATP play a second set.

On my 2nd of 4 of these I picked up on the way home today. Just a bitter pine bomb (a good thing). The oak is giving it a little of that Burton Baton taste, which happens to be a very good thing.

    From the brewer…

"The newest Dank, which was released just yesterday, is one of my favorites that we've brewed. While some of the batches have been so aggressively bitter, only the most ardent hop heads would enjoy it, this one actually has some subtle balance. We accomplished that with the use of Durst Munich II, a malt I have long loved, but always worried it would add too much color to this beer. Well, it is certainly a bit darker than past iterations, but still a touch lighter than Elevated IPA. But what I love the most about this batch is the aroma and flavor. It is far more complicated than a lot of the batches of Dank, but even more so, it comes across as, pardon my vagueness, but focused...While in no way malty, this batch is just so nicely balanced, while also fitting the bill of a nuclear hop bomb. So, I like it. Hope you do to."

Agreed. Best batch I have tried, yet I have only tasted three separate ones.

    Cheers!

Digging into the SN Fall Pack and really liking this Vienna Lager. I don't know if the three bottles of it will make it past the evening. Watching the Patriots game.
