Redneck Racin' & Tastin'

So I haven't really been active here on BA in quite some time but today I decided to log on a catch up a little. I am just about as shocked as a person could get that anyone at East Lincoln would know what BA was or that anyone on here would know what ELS was. I come every Saturday, don't know right now if I'll join in the meet up or not but at any rate Cheers!

 

You have to stop by and at least see what's up. If not you are passing up a golden opportunity at meeting a lot of really cool BAs!

 

If you guys go to ELS on a weekly basis, you're already cool in my books. I'm there every week unless I have a fireworks show to do somewhere, which is only a couple Saturday nights during the course of race season.

 

Bring an extra! I need to tick that!

 

Just added myself to the "attending" list. Got an invite from Jzmhector and BrahnSolo. Bringing a growler of Catawba Valley Strawberry Rhubarb Berliner Weisse and something else TBD. Perhaps Rapture? Or The Vine? Maybe a growler of Old HLT? I know I've only met a few of you guys (and gals?), but what do ya'll think?

 

Berliners and sours are ALWAYS welcome when I'm in attendance!

 

Since we didn't taste at the upland tasting, I think I will be bringing a Gilgamesh to the party. Also Calton may or may not have p

All I can say is......Wow! What a great time! I know you show up at these events and it seems like things just fall into place but the truth is - Marine1975 put a ton of effort, planning, and high expectations into this event. He maintained an excel beer list, posted updates, arranged for us all to sit together, provided snacks, made a kick ass trophy, hired a talented and good looking, cool artist to compose the artwork for the beer list and official poster, made his home available for before and after the festivities, brought a Whale stout because a fellow BA that was scheduled to bring it couldn't make it due to extenuating circumstances (hope things work out for the best), brought kick ass cans into the race to share with people, etc., etc. etc. Please either post here or start a conversation with him and thank him for his effort. This is an event that is gaining steam and looks like it will grow year after year. Thanks Shane for a great event that is growing and is unconventional and awesome!

 

I've met Shane a few times at Foothills releases and all I can say is...

I am NOT surprised by this!

Next time, try scheduling it some time OTHER than my wedding anniversary weekend

 

Had a blast getting to see all of you guys again! Definitely was a great time for sure... TONS of new ticks for me to review. So now I'm even MORE behind on my reviews. I would also like to thank #30 for fucking up Turn 4 and dropping back to 3rd so I didn't win the pot, but for also for allowing me to be up $1 after the night was over. Haha!

twas a great time...Thought for sure the idiots drool would be a lock for the trophy Thanks to everyone for bringing all the great beers..that tasting lighting round right before the race started was amazing!

 

Thanks Shane, it was a great event and I'm already thinking about what I'll bring next year to make sure I win the trophy. I do have a few picture that I'll post when I get home since I haven't figured out how from my phone yet.

 

I only have 3 pics from it, but that was mainly due to my battery dying from the ticking marathon that I was running...
