Being only minutes from Ontario (in Buffalo). Bar none Canadian beer. Drinking age only 19 so we'd go to The Beer Store all the time before turning 21. And not that I've ever been but I heard they have Canadian Ballet up there too. Molson Brador was the go to beer.

I remember my friend and I stole a Peroni from his fathers stash, I distinctly remember it tasting like soap. After that, I probably had a Heineken, which my friends all referred to as Rat's Piss. And the first beer I bought of my own accord was a Newcastle. I remember that as being the moment when I said "This shit is good!" and promptly drank several in a short span.

Ayinger Celebrator, 2006. I was 21-years-old and in college, and I was doing the World Beer Tour at Winking Lizard (Ohio) with a buddy. To this day I have a very strong loyalty to that beer. I collect the medallions like merit badges.

We used to go to Canada for Molson Bradors. Everyone used to go nuts for them. Canadian beers quality remained high even in the 70's when American beer took a nose dive.

Bitburger. Still don't care for it, but can still drink it for nostalgia's stake. Even visited the factory as a child, and as an adult when stationed at Spangdahlem AB. Cool place, but still cant get into their beer.

Pretty sure it was Newcastle. My enjoyment of that led me to trying New Glarus Fat Squirrel, which opened the floodgates on my interest in craft beer

Bitte Ein Bit!!!! Used to drink the stuff by the case about 7 years ago, came in 24 cans and still does I believe! Besides Spotted Cow it was the beer that introduced me to flavor! I would buy it more if it was not $25 for a case... Hard to justify when NG whips out the pilsners they do at a similar price. But I do grab a 4 pack of tall boys from time to time and for a mass produced German beer it is amazing!

Probably a Blue Moon - since, you know, that's how it was probably classified at the bar.

Living in MI Canadian macro brews are everywhere. I can remember thinking I was pretty cool because I was drinking labatts instead of bmc.

It was probably a Japanese beer at some point long time ago as a child when my parents gave us a sip of what they were drinking.

We all give imports a lot of hell, but the truth is they are a gateway from AAL to craft.

Guinness. Still a beer I can buy a case or 1/6 of and never get tired of. Maybe it is the Irish in me? Yes, yes it is.

It was like sand in the desert in that part of Germany. My problem was I know there was better stuff 50 miles west on Belgium or another 150 in Bayern...
