The waitress was super flighty and seemingly always in a rush when I got the water pour. I believe it was an Epic sour apple saison, and not a stout or anything. Not justifying it or anything because it was a bit ridiculous, but we're regulars at the place and I'm honestly glad it happened to me instead of someone else's first impression of the place.

I havent run into to many of these issues except for a bar right up the street from me. Its an old biker bar that attracts a lot of townies that are just looking for the cheap beer. But they recently renamed themself a "brewhouse" and stand behind their numerous draft offerings that are "always" rotating.

However everytime i get a draft from there that is not your average light beer or lager, it usually taste flat/bottom of the keg. Its not just once... its like every single time, so it made me wonder if they are having an issue with their whole tap system. They dont serve beers in chilled glasses so thats not the issue. Im waiting for the day i get a fresh draft from that place lol

They don't clean their lines properly is my bet.

Wouldnt surprise me. Its just funny how they name went from a Cafe to a brewhouse this year and i think they may have added like 5 more taps but they are really putting a hurt on their crafties by not taking care of their stuff properly.

I once paraded into the basement keg box of a strip club at 1:00 AM to fix a line of Pale Ale that was pouring incredibly foamy... I really needed a good beer right then.

The keg box didn't have that signature "shame" smell.

I would be pretty upset over the water/possible cleaner in your beer. Possibly drinking line cleaner is a VERY serious hazard. Cleaning lines has been part of my job for about 2 years and I will always make sure to smell or try a beer after I clean the line. It's also very important to remove all tap handles and inform all bartenders if you are cleaning during service.

Sorry for the mini rant this is always something I'm paranoid about and I've seen a lot of negligence around line cleaning.

Tried a Yahoo fantasy draft last night which crashed and burned....the beer selection made it oky though as I was able to drownn out the frustration with Dirt Wolf and Alpha King

I usually feel obligated to drink it and then order another of a different beer
