Beeradvocate is your new facebook

 

Every time you see a 10 gallon water cooler on the side lines of sporting events, you really see a mash tun.

 

Made your spouse or loved one surprise your regular liquor store owner speechless when she beer geeks him. And she doesnt even drink beer.

 

No facebook, twittter, etc for me. Beeradvocate is as close to social media as I get.

My Wife calls it beerbook.

 

..... You plan for weeks for that ultimate beer haul!

... If you have beeradvocate open on a tab, and then liquorconnect open on another tab to see if that beer is available in your area.

Resurrecting this thread because I've done both of these in the last couple weeks . . .

--You pack your own glassware when you travel.
--After nearly 20 years of not checking a bag, only doing carry-on (even internationally), you finally check a bag in order to transport beer.

 

You buy hard sided suit cases that can nest -- so you can check one bag on the way out but 2 on the way back!

 

If you're not bringing beer to trade on the way out, you're doing it wrong.

 

If you travel to another country just to get your favourite brewery's latest release.

 

...when your weight is directly correlated to limited releases

 

You start seeing adds for AA on other sites.

 

Your wife mocks you with "oh I'm looking at beer again" and pretends to be u masturbating

 

You get the opportunity to drink free beer and can't get yourself to choke it down. (This happened to me last Saturday night at my nephew's wedding reception and the choices were Coors light or Labatt blue on tap.)

 

When you meet a dude named Brett, the first thing that pops into your head is Brettanomyces.

 

After doing IP trades with @DooshBagalow and @deeblo I've learned to have extra space for the return trip. Even if I don't end up hitting a bottle shop.
