OP I'm sure you'll do fine on the test. I would like to make every American to take & pass that test before they get to vote.

Already knowing the answer, I asked someone at work how many Senators there are... I got blank stares. I said two from each state... The response I got was 52 states so 104 senators right?

I just shook my head and walked away.

You're in luck, Pabst is supposedly about to re-introduce it's old discount brand - Red, White and Blue.

It gets (well, "got") worse. After they lost the R,W&B brand in the 80s to Heileman, they came out with an even cheaper (IIRC) discount beer, with a generic name and look:
It looked like one of those TV/Movie prop brands.

I'm thinkin' it'll be a while before Pabst revives that one (although, with Pabst, ya never know...).

Edinburgh was my home town. Which part of Oz were you from?

I LOVE Edinburgh. I have a good friend (also named Stuart) from Inverkiething. My wife and I spent 4 nights there during Hogmanay 2008. Amazing experience.

My home town was Perth but over the 8 years I was in the Royal Australian Navy I lived in several places around the country.

If you're a sand groper originally then a king brown of Emu straight out of the esky would be a fine nod to your roots. Just keep your oz accent. That half yank half oz accent is atroucious. One of my boys was born in King Eddy, Subiaco. I lived in a charming little hamlet just outside Perth (900 km) called Meekatharra for two years. WA is by far the best state in Au. Congratulations on becomming a Seppo (septic tank = yank for non australians).

That is too funny, you sound more Aussie than me! I am a proud sandgroper but I cannot and will not drink Emu ever again! Living in Meeka... Hope you were getting paid well? My old man works at the mines out there sometimes. Absolute armpit of a place. Haha.
I don't think I have lost the accent yet btw, but my kids certainly don't sound like me :slight_frown:
