It's not a super long time between band hand out and bottle release (2-3 hours), and cash or credit is fine.

Yea but when you get in line at 3AM and don't get your bottles until 10:30-11 that equals quite a bit of time in the crate for the dog. I'd like either me or my fiance to be able to run to the hotel and let him and for awhile but if it isn't an option we'll just spring the extra money for the boarder.

True, once you get your band you should be able to leave and come back, I am honestly not sure how long the bands are good for though, say you come back at 1pm if they won't have gotten rid of the extra bottles. If you are out of order (you get 50 and come back when they are calling 200 you'll be fine, they cut them off you at the time of purchase).

My friends and I have cooked bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes and brewed coffee in line for 3 years now with camp stoves and it has never been a problem, at both Sexy and BA Sexy releases.

It's not so much 'camping out' as sobering up from the bottle share.

I guess.....when I got there last year everyone at the front was asleep. Used to be that the front of the line was where everyone wanted to hang out.

Maybe it becomes more lively once the sun comes up though, I can't recall, I hung out in the parking lot.

(or maybe I'm just being a crotchety old man who just wants to talk about the good ol' days)

No joke the front of the line use to be where everyone wanted to be when sharing bottles inline. Some of the craziest beers I have ever sampled were at the front of that line a few years back. Now it's all sleeping bags! Definitely a different crowd at these events than there was a few years ago. Growing pains I guess!

Ok we've decided to go to the Release , this will be our first time for a big release. Ok stupid question, how does the bottle share thing work I'm going to bring some of my "good ones" not a whale but Stuff like olde hick IMp stout, noda ,wicked weed, marshal z, breakfast stout and few more common beers is that acceptable for this type share ? Does everyone just set there bottle on a table or?

It's quite open and free. You get yourself a table and share with those at your table. You can then walk around with your bottle to offer to others around the area.

As for what types of brews are acceptable, other brewery only releases, rare beers and/or brews not in this distribution area. I've even seen friends bring their homebrews.

Couple of questions about the line outside - do people bring tailgate chairs out in line? Also, if someone were to skip the Friday bottle share and show up early Saturday (4am?) does that work too?

Yes people bring chairs, see the posts above. https://foothillsbrewing.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/bbasc3.jpg

Yes, you can show up at 4am. No one know's how many people may be in line at that time, you might be #1 or #300, no one knows for sure. In years pass, if you got there at 10am, you'd probably miss out on getting bottles [as the link from Foothills says].

At 4am, you definitely won't be #1 in line, but you should be good to get bottles. Who knows though. These things get crazier and crazier every year.

    ATTENTION:
If you're coming to the release bring something to carry your bottles in. They will not have extra boxes/bags for us there. So let's all help out our Mother, and Foothills, and BYOBB.

    Bring Your Own Beer Bag.

I'll be bringing a lot of brews, some Oude Tart w/Cherries, Allagash Needles, RU-55, Pumpkinator, just a random smattering of tasty goodness.

Awesome, my friend. Look for me. I'll have some fresh Zombie Dust, a few other FFF things, and I'll probably bring a couple Jester King sours.
