    It's that time of year. Where are all of the wet hop beers? How are they tasting?

    Day Block Brewing just tapped their Centennial Wet Hop IPA, and I'm enjoying it quite nicely. Good juicyness, firm bitterness. They say it has 131lbs of wet centennial hops picked last Monday on a farm in Pepin, Wisconsin, and brewed hours later.

    I'd love to see a fresh hop day tripper, or an out of season fresh hop Abrasive! That would rock the house. (probably a combo fresh/non-fresh hop in the abrasive just because I dont think you could get enough bitterness with fresh only)

    Because this post was so good, I need to give credit to @SNReject in regards to no Surly Wet.

    In regards to the post, I am always excited for TH Fresh Hop 100 or whatever it's called.

    Next Unchained is going to be a combo wet/fresh hopped something. Excited to try it.

    That sounds right.

    Lift Bridge also is having an event next weekend for people to help them pick hops for their fresh hopped beer.

    By weight, wet hops pack less of a punch than dry so you use a lot more. Usually a 5:1 ratio.

    I would imagine they may also have to plan for the extra mass in the kettle or fermentor. But then again, maybe the pros aren't as space constrained as I am with my home brew equipment.
