Preciate the advice but pretty complicated for me. I tried home brewing a few times and failed miserably but I'm well aware that there are many home brews out there that are superior to commercially available beers. I'd be more than happy to try your concoctions

He had to have been drunk....

I'm saying, just for my sanity, that those bottles were empties that he filled with something else.

You know what, I went back and watched and you never see him pop a cap off, so I am dearly hoping you are right!

For OP, now that I think about it, often I see people post pictures of different infusions on the WBAYDN threads. If you don't find what you are looking for from this thread, I'm sure if you ever see one of those posts, people would be happy to tell you what they did and how it turned out!

Brown rum: soak 1~3 vanilla beans for a few months.

Add a teaspoon to BCBBW. One of the best things I've ever tasted.

That it was my friend. Haven't personally had a backyard rye but can't really imagine that it could be any better. Everything went together beautifully with the fresh local berries. Tried it with the bcbbw too but definitely better with the stout.

Not sure where to post this. Have you mixed BCBS with anything? I've done vanilla beans and maple syrup once. Turned out great. Toasted coconut works well too. Would coffee grounds work as well as beans?

I've come across a good bit of BCBS recently and I have been experimenting. From what I can tell, as long as you stick to the norms…cacao nib, vanilla bean, toasted coconut, cinnamon, chocolate chips, lightly ground coffee, etc. - you can't screw it up.

BCBS is the best base beer on the planet.

I blended it with Cantillon Lou Pepe Framboise, it was glorious.

I agree that BCBS is the "best base beer on the planet". That's why I only drink it as is. Not a beer I prefer to experiment with:rolling_eyes:

No disagreement here! As I mentioned, I recently came across a solid quantity of it (FT, for those interested); otherwise I would never bother messing with it! It's absolute perfection.

    EDIT: I'm using 2012 BCBS

I cannot imagine how one comes across a year-old beer that sold out within hours here. ISO!

I got 1 bottle of it on Black Friday but I've gotten 8-10 bottles as extras in trades & in BIF's over the past year

just tasted a 2013 pressed through toasted coconut in a french press. I would highly recommend trying this method.

BCBS is too rare for me to do anything but drink and enjoy "as is" the little I manage to obtain each year.

Where the heck in PA do you live?

Seriously, we get it doled out by the eye-dropper here in the Allentown-Bethlehem area.

I usually snag a case in NY when the hype dies down by January. It's all over the place.

Not sure where you should post it either. Its awesome as is, just drink some. If you think you have too many age them or trade. If you want to play chemist start to homebrew.
