    I'd have to say Crom from Rocky Point Artisan Brewers is my favorite NY beer.

    Since your fam is in upper manhattan and I'm sure they don't want to run around the city chasing down your beer (unless you have an awesome family!). I would say they should go to city swiggers and noble grains which would be the closest legit bottle shops to where they are. I'm sure the people there would help them with selections.

    I agree with what everyone else has said, but I'm also fond of Bronx Brewery's Pale Ale, which might be easy to find.

    I had the Barrier Cycle recently. Interesting farmhouse - tasted like white wine.
