I think that the theory is that it will just pop up from time to time in the pub cooler. Also, I have feeling that they are going to start a cellar program for the Barrelworks stuff, just like they do with the vintage parabolas and anniversary bottles.

So that means everyone that isn't taking it home right away is bringing a very large cooler filled with ice? :astonished:

I usually put it on the floor of the car and crank the AC through the floor vent . The 12-bottle case box kinda insulates it also. Actually though, now that I think of it; I end up cellaring everything anyways, so for me it doesn't really matter.

Why are you buying two tickets though? I am assuming you buy a single ticket and can buy up to X bottles at $13.99 for a maximum of 12.

Though I haven't been to one of their ticketed releases before, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, you can buy up to your limit of 12 after the initial 6 (or 3) that are included with your ticket. You do not need to buy another ticket to get the second 6. Either way, there is no Feral Vinifera with any ticket. You'll have to tack them on at $14.99 a bottle up to 6/per ticket.

Bingo, buy two tickets for XVIII then a week later buy two tickets to Agrestic release.

The $75/3 bottle ticket seems like such a bad value why even bother?

The only way I could see this making sense is if you really only want 3 bottles of Agrestic, unlimited tasters and food. If this is the case, $75<$100 no matter which way you cut it.

For some people, $75 is a cheap days entertainment and they still get to take home 3 awesome bottles of brewery only beer. This is the only way this makes sense...

$75 gets you ~$45 worth of beer, so as long as you can drink/eat $30 worth of food/beer, it's not so bad. It's not as good a value as the $100 ticket, but if you don't want 6 bottles of Agrestic and/or want to leave some room in the budget for Feral Vinifera, it costs less even if it isn't as good a deal. Obviously, if you're just picking up 3 bottles (at effectively $25 apiece) and scramming, then it doesn't make so much sense.

While Bretta Wiesse is a less sought after beer than Agrestic, a $60 Bretta Wiesse ticket got you 4x$11=$44 in beer plus the snifter and tasters. Now $75 gets you 3x$14=$42 plus the glass etc etc. As such I plan on hitting up the 6 bottle tickets.

I plan on getting the $100 ticket too for obvious reasons but I could see if someone somehow could care less about agrestic and only wanted FV then the $75 ticket would make more sense. But then you'd have to convince yourself that 3 bottles of Agrestic isn't worth $25. lol

I had Agrestic at the BW release and wasn't blown away... at least, I'd rather spend that $25 on the gamble that I'll like Feral Vinifera better. Then again, I'm kicking myself for not getting my full allotment of Krieky, so maybe I just need to stop being such a cheapass (well, as much as someone who's spent $200 on beer in the last week can be called a cheapass).

I hope so. Headed to Vegas this weekend and if I come back with some extra cash I can justify the $100+ I'll spend on this lol.

I'm in! Needed to make a SoCal run to pick up my Alesmith release bottles so this will make it a double hit weekend.

Would it be totally insane to try to make it to this and then Zwanze Day @ Beachwood? It looks like a 2.5-3 hour drive on Google Maps, which would make it unrealistic.

I don't think that's even possible, sadly..I wanted to do the same, but unfortunately they overlap each other.
