DALLAS/FT. WORTH – For the first time ever in North Texas, two breweries, Rahr & Sons Brewing Company of Fort Worth and Lakewood Brewing Company of Garland, have come together to craft a special, limited edition beer that combines their unique styles. Breaking the mold among local brewers, their new Belgian-inspired Dubbel Ale is called DFW: A Collaboration of Two Breweries. With an ABV of 6.4 percent, DFW will make its debut during North Texas Beer Week (October 31 – November 9). It will be available on draft at area taps and will be sold at local retailers in 22 oz. bottles beginning the week of October 27. http://thefullpint.com/beer-news/rahr-sons-joins-lakewood-dfw-collaboration-two-breweries/
Rahr has been turning out some pretty awesome limited beers recently. One could expect them to ride the success of them and begin to duplicate beers like BBWW throughout the year. Excited for this!
Cool label. Didn't see where this will be available (except Dallas/Fort Worth, of course). Hopefully it gets distributed to other places (i.e. Austin) that already have Rahr, because Lakewood stays only in DFW.
Are you referring to the '13 BBWW or the previous years? The '13 visionary was really good but the '13 BBWW doesn't hold a candle to the previous years.
