I was at last years BASC, and the lady cop (always forget her name) was very cool about letting us open beers in line. You just have to be discrete and blatantly obnoxious about it. That stops completely about 6am or so though, and bottles can then be opened once inside. Some of the best beers I've ever had have come in the Friday night line over the past few years including AB Huna growler (which lead to AB Hunatopias: mixture of AB Huna and Utopias. Really damn good.), Pappy Eclipse '08, Deviation, Armand Seasons, etc.

The rule of thumb for drinking in line is bring cups and keep bottles ( out of sight) and they will leave you alone.

The lady cop is more than cool you just can't drink out of bottles, no clear glasses and no clear cups in line.

Can we bring a tasting glass into the brewery?

I did last time as I have a few 4oz ones that I like to use for tastings. Foothill's does provide glasses during the course of the evening (4oz glasses), so don't feel obligated to do so.

And from the above, bring some good ole Solo cups if you want to drink between 2-8am.

Yep - he's right - even Total Wine has a hard time keeping it in stock. I also recommend Common Market in Plaza Midwood - they typically have fresh HDR but do have a limit.

I screwed up last time and brought clear solo cups... definitely am not making that mistake again. What about cans in coozies, though? Does that work since the labels are covered?

Where have you guys usually parked for this release? The deck? I'm not doing the street parking as I had a disaster getting out of my spot. Also I'd like to bring some chairs and a cooler for my share beer—is this OK?

Anybody know if I'll be ok if I arrive around 8-9 Saturday morning? I'm not looking to get the full 6 allowance but would like 3-4 bottles

I'll be there around 12am. I added some bottles I'll be bringing to the spreadsheet. Fellow homebrewers, bring some of your creations to share. I'll be doing the same.

This will be my first time to the brewery. Are there any public parking garages or public parking lots close-ish to Foothills? I don't mind walking a bit and plan on getting there around 2 so I'm hoping there might still be some decent on street parking, but if not I wanted to check.
