It wasn't cask. It was a half barrel with ancho chilies added. Pretty good, but it just seemed like a spicier Mexican Cake.

But isn't that all it was supposed to be? Besides the small influx of flavor added by the anchos

Next week is Charleston Beer Week. What are the odds of the release happening within that time period?

I think the intention was to infuse some ancho flavor, but it couldn't overpower the other spices. I think I like the Cherry better, but I still enjoyed the extra spice.

Its sold out. They only brewed 1 bottle of that variant, and that guy (or girl) is drinking it. Might as well close the thread, nothing to see here folks.

There were only 2 originally, but they figured out what the barrels were and they had a lot of Prichards barrels. They decided to separate the Prichards from the 4roses. Double barrel is a blend of rye and double choc barrels.

Fingers crossed for Thursday or Sat of this week for the release, as those are likely the only days I could make it and I am selfish.

The four roses and tequilla were true. I guess the posting of the "bourbon rye" picture was the pritchards

I saw the tequila barrels with my own eyes back in May when I was down there.

Edit: Found the picture I took!
