Making this one quick... some likely Wed. major happenings:

    - Forum of the Gods (tentpole event for PBW)
    - 33-draft Sixpoint takeover at City Tap House (prob. the biggest single-brewery # of taps all PBW)
    - Saint Somewhere at Boilermaker (a small brewery that mostly does saisons and sours = big geek turnout!)
    - Bell's at St. Stephen's Green (big list and Black Note).
    - maybe the new/obscure Shelton Importers products night at Farmers' Cabinet (Spirit of discovery!)

We're past the halfway point of PBW. Don't stop now!

My friend is rubbing in how good those Farmer's Cab beers are now and I'm on a conference call. :slight_frown:

Headin' over to Farmer's Cab now. I'll probably be falling asleep in my beer but it's worth it.

Shockingly sparse crowd at St Stephens Green for Black Note tonight. Could have had my fill, but stayed with only one. Amazing beer!

Got my hands on the Pistola's Hill Farmstead tap list for Friday (lunch): Hill Farmstead/Tired Hands Myth of Saison; Hill Farmstead Everett; Hill Farmstead Society & Solitude 3; Hill Farmstead Florence; Hill Farmstead Abner; Hill Farmstead Edward; Hill Farmstead Citra IPA; Hill Farmstead What is Enlightenment?

Thought that you would be interested. Pretty insane.

Thanks Jared. Lots of good stuff to try. Hopefully it won't be too busy right away.

How long do you guys think those HF beers will stay on at Pistola's? I won't be able to get into the city until probably 3:30 or so. Never been there so I'm not sure what the crowds are usually like and how fast they kick. I believe my girlfriend and I are definitely hitting up Resurrection Ale House Friday afternoon though. Sounds like some nice barrel-aged tappings.

Any other events I'm missing that should be a "don't miss" for Friday afternoon/evening?

I know this isn't useful but it's really impossible to know. Tuesday at lunch was mobbed but that was Founder's with CBS. I'd suspect most of these will last a couple hours, but you're better off just watching twitter and asking people there before you head down.

As far as events on Friday, Fergies is doing a neat one where they will have Bottleworks 12 apparently which was super delicious when I had it. Hawthornes has a Maine Beer Co. event which will supposedly have some Three Floyds. Otherwise, dunno.

Teresa's is also having a HF event on Saturday at 1pm which might be more doable for those who can't make JP for the event today.

Also, not sure if you're aware, but Teresa's is having a HF event Saturday afternoon. I know you mentioned events on Friday, but if you happen to miss out at Jose Pistola's, the HF event at Teresa's sounds excellent. Assuming you can get away on Saturday that is....

Oooopppps!!! Just saw that MsRif beat me to it. :-)

It's funny how difficult it is to gauge interest in some events. Like the Funky Buddha event at Prohibition. Before beer week started, I expected that would be an easy place to get their beers. Instead it was a pretty mobbed event where the beers kicked in 45 minutes. Then, last night, St. Stephen's Green had Black Note but it wasn't particularly busy at all apparently.

Yep. I saw Teresa's had one, too which if I can't make it to Pistola's I might hit up

Thanks for the insight. I saw the Hawthornes event which was okay, I've had everything from Maine but wouldn't mind some fresh Lunch on draft. And Three Floyds might show up? That's damn tempting.

Probably heading to Capone's tonight for the IPA jam, for my only event of PBW. Time and money were seriously lacking for me this year. Hopefully next year will turn out a bit more beertacular.

Tuesday was kind of a slow night in terms of hardcore beergeekness events. I was told there was a CBS tapping somewhere else at the same time as Black Note last night (I was at St. Stephen's) and that probably diverted a number of folks who would have otherwise been at Black Note.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that Teresa's will be mobbed on Satuday as given that it's on a weekend, all of the chatter about it, and the fact that there's really not much else going on in uber-geekness on Saturday afternoon. Knowing this, I'll still probably head out there.

:-) Any chance you can save me a seat at the bar? Hopefully I can get up there from Baltimore by 1:00, but even then, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the place is a madhouse.

That and Teresa's is popular already and one of the few suburb places doing stuff.

I'll be at Nodding Head and Hawthorne's on Saturday though.
