Terrapin Imperial Pumpkin Pie Porter

Landed in a few Athens stores today.

 

Terrapin is pouring it on draft tomorrow during the brewery tour.

 

Really sucks that the distributors are being punished...from what I hear the stores were told , but some how didn't listen.

 

It does suck but there's a chain of info available. If people don't follow it, someone has to be held responsible. It's easier to cut distro than to check up on every store and keep tabs on every bottle.

 

Terrapin must be trying to flex some muscles to push away the backlash that builds when they leave their home market in the dark.

Can't say anyone is surprise after they've done it the last 2 special releases.. I think the locals want some, but all figure it's not worth freaking out and chasing it anymore.

FWIW, I stumbled on a few bottles recently. On the shelf no less.

I ended up with 3 bottles of it: 1 for a permanent trade partner, one to drink this weekend, and one to age. There is still a few bottles here and there around here, but I can't see going to go buy anymore.

Macon received their allocation yesterday. I picked up 2 bottles and they still had over a case left. Score one for small towns.

I don't think every store in this area has gotten theirs yet, at least it doesn't sound like it. I know Total Wine in Greenville got their 1 case, and it was gone the same day.

 

It's come and gone in Columbia. All four spots (Green's x2, Morganellis, and TW) have sold out.

 

Charleston got it this week, too. I was able to pick up a bottle TW and CBX.

Sure. It is crazy how limited/hard to get that beer was considering how bad WCMH was. CRWnB was pretty good though.

The usual outlets in Savannah, GA all got a case on Friday afternoon. It is all gone now. Reminds me of the CRWnB release, impossible to find.

I did drink one last night and enjoyed it. Glad to have scored a few bottles.

 

Did this make it down to central FL already? The few places I've been to the past 2 weeks didn't have any. Maybe I missed it.

Was hoping for a pair, 1 to cellar for next year and 1 to enjoy in late Oct.

 

Should be this week for central Florida.
