Really? I've felt the quality of the wings has gone down continuously over the past 10 yrs or so. I stop there every so often & in different cities & I'm constantly let down. They seem skimpy on the sauces nowadays whereas in the past those bad boys were drowning in it.

    Also...did not enjoy Game Changer

You have to order them wet. I figured that out awhile back.

I wonder if it would bring back memories... Doubtful since I don't remember most times I cracked one open :grinning:

I guess it didn't live up to its name.

If I wanted to pay $10 for diarrhea and still be hungry I'd get some extra hot Thai food - talking about the wings of course, not the beer which I'm sure is perfectly average if the lines are clean.

I don't think anyone would put RHook anywhere above mediocre as a whole. But if you think it's great, you need to sample more beer.

Humbly disagree. I think it's severely underrated given 1) who produces it and 2) who distributes it.

Red Hook isn't all that great man. Let it go.

Per your own review, it's a pale ale in which you can neither smell nor taste hops. I haven't had it, but from that description, I wouldn't expect many people to sing its praises.

I haven't had the beer, but the quality of responses in this thread are really poor.

When the kids want wings this is the only decent beer served at the local BWW , so when I'm there it's not so bad I won't drink it , but away from there I never give it a second thought

I guess there are a lot of hop fiends. I enjoyed it a lot, though - a beer doesn't need grapefruit tastes to be enjoyable.

An pale without hops apparent isn't. Or at least (in this case) and bad effort.

I have no clue what happened it the once hot/cool red hook. I live near the Portsmouth Nh brewery and used to love going there -- they had a coffee stout brewed w Starbucks back in the day that was cutting edge. They haven't done anything original in years and are basically another example of a neutered pioneer. And the long hammer IPA? Wow -- just bad.

We had the "asian zing" nice flavor nice spice. The time before we had some mango something or other which were BRUTALLY spicy. In a side note the df60 tasted watered down. It probably wasnt. Maybe my pallette is hop wrecked
