I traded a Vic Francenstien straight up for one (375 ML) right after the Vic release.

I don't get the hype on this beer. It's good don't get me wrong but there are better and easier to get Cantilloons out there. Just saying... I would proabably rather have the Vic at this point to be honest.

I agree 100%. I obtained mine, and have had it twice since. While it is nice to have in the "cellar", I would not trade for it again unless the deal was great. Tickers gotta tick though!

Yeah I am with ya. I have done my fair share of whale slaying and tickin in my day. Some are totally worth the hype and effort to tick (Cantillon Helena, Rodenbach Alexander, Still Nacht Reserva, Lorik ect.) and some are not (Dave, Blaaber, Partridge in a Pear Tree, 02/02/02 ect). Like lemmy says "the chase is better than the catch" for some people.

    So I'm thinking something like:

ISO: 2007 Blabaer FT: Rare, arm, leg, and first-born.

EDIT: What's the KBS ratio for an '07 Blabaer??

and don't judge me but I caved and bought the 07 on ebay for a wale tasting we had last December I think.

Man, how much was that? Every now I search "Cantillon" and think "who would pay $300 for a single bottle of Blabaer?" I hope it wasn't that much...

I put up a FT with a list of beers (offering 3 from the list) that included these twice and received a single response. The one other time I almost traded overseas for Blabaer I was told it cost the BA $50. $4$ it seemed to work out. My friend contributed the Damon. When I posted the ISO it was never suggested, nor did it seem like I was offering up too much on my side.

Rough. But probably not all that much worse than what you'd trade for it...
