Am I imagining things or am I seeing less and less of their beers around? I see Crooked Tree here and there and the occasional stout (not Plead the 5th, and usually old) on the shelves from time-to-time but just not seeing anything else. Just me?
I assumed they pulled out of NY but I haven't seen anything to back that up online. But I've noticed the same by me. Seems to happen on occasion when breweries start distributing : big batch delivered followed by it disappearing off shelves.
Could be they are just flying off the shelves at lightning speed with the television show and all, at least that is what happened with Dog Fish Head.
This is something I've noticed for awhile. Crooked Tree is the only beer of theirs I've seen with any regularity, and even that hasn't been around that much.
We have kind of the same deal with Dark Horse around here, Crooked Tree is also the only beer that can be found on the reg. There are still some old IPA variety packs and the Perkulator doppelbock also floating around in odd spots. When they start pumping out their lineup of stouts for the fall/winter I imagine you will see more of them at least that has been the case in years past.
I'm hoping. I didn't see Double Crooked Tree anywhere around here this year, and Plead the 5th (any variation of it) seems have not been around either. It's been awhile since I've had any Dark Horse other than the Crooked Tree or the Black Bier. I've got my fingers crossed.
It's been fairly dry in terms of what's been shipped to the distributor they use in NY area, Just re-ups on the usual stuff. I think the newest thing I saw was either the Crooked Tree variety pack (Which rocked) or the Sapient Trip? As for the Double Crooked @guinness77 , It was super SUPER limited. I only know of one place that got any at all and it wasn't much at all.
